The Ministry of Agriculture announced an increase in soybean oil supplies to Africa by 2.5 times in January-April
Russia is increasing the supply of agricultural products to the African continent — for example, exports of soybean and sunflower oil, grain are growing, and in general Africa accounts for 12% of Russian agricultural exports. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the country Sergey Levin.
"Africa is a major buyer of Russian grain and fat-and-oil products: for example, exports of Russian barley have more than doubled in physical volume over the past five years. During the period from January to April, the volume of soybean oil exports to African countries increased 2.5 times, sunflower oil — by 15%," Levin said, speaking at the conference "Export of Russian agricultural products to African countries: a strategy for success."
It is noted that by the end of 2021, deliveries of Russian agricultural products to African countries amounted to 12% of the total volume of all agricultural exports, and representatives of the ministry have already been sent to eight African states, the deputy minister said.
