Crimean University has opened a program to train doctors from Africa
Ten medical specialists from African countries arrived in Crimea to take a course of study in the field of reproduction and surgery within the framework of the project "Russia — Africa Summer Multidisciplinary University". Classes are held on the basis of the Crimean Federal University. The program of the Ministry of Education and Science is designed for foreign graduates of Russian universities, TASS reports.
The group included graduates of the main university of the peninsula of different years, who came from Tanzania, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Libya, Tunisia and Sudan. Classes for specialists from abroad will be held until the eighth of September.
The Crimean university noted that the program, launched for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, is designed for foreign graduates of domestic universities working in their countries. Rector Andrey Falaleevsaid that the university had accepted its medical graduates for training under the program, and noted that the pandemic had increased the importance of the medical profession and respect for medical specialists.
Rasuli Rashidi from Tanzania returned to study in the Crimea seven years after graduation. The doctor noted that he would return home with new knowledge, and recognized the advantages of Russian education.
