About the videoconference of young parliamentarians of Russia and Mozambique

With the active assistance of the Russian Embassy in Mozambique, a video conference was held on July 5 between Senators of Russia, members of the Chamber of Young Legislators at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and young parliamentarians of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique. The Deputy Chairman of the SF K.I.Kosachev addressed with a welcoming speech. On the Mozambican side, young legislators took part, led by the head of the Cabinet of Parliamentary Youth, deputy from the ruling party FRELIMO O.Matavele.

The results of the official visit of the Chairman of the Federation Council V.I.Matvienko to Maputo on May 30 – June 1 were highly appreciated, and the traditionally friendly nature of Russian-Mozambican relations was confirmed. In particular, representatives of the Assembly of the Republic expressed gratitude to Russia for supporting Mozambique's candidacy in the elections of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council in June this year in New York.

The parties discussed the important role played by young parliamentarians in the political life of the two countries. Separately, we focused on the issues of teaching Mozambican students in Russian universities
