Российско-алжирские переговоры в Штаб-квартире ООН

On September 24, the meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Diaspora Abroad of Algeria R.Lamamra took place on the sidelines of #GAUN77.

During the conversation, the priority tasks of further strengthening Russian-Algerian relations were discussed. It was stressed that the trust-based political dialogue and multifaceted Russian-Algerian cooperation are developing in accordance with the spirit and letter of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership of April 4, 2001.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the global and regional agenda with an emphasis on strengthening bilateral foreign policy coordination. The Ministers stressed the importance of resolving conflict situations solely on the basis of universally recognized principles of international legality, without outside interference and while respecting the right of peoples to determine their own future. When considering the situation on the African continent, the importance of the second #Russiafrica summit in 2023 was emphasized.
