On holding a state reception on the occasion of Russia Day in Mauritius
On June 11 this year, a state reception was organized at the Russian Embassy on the occasion of Russia Day.
It was attended by the President of Mauritius, the Prime Minister of the country, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prosecutor General, representatives of other ministries and departments, heads of diplomatic missions accredited here of friendly countries - China, India, South Africa, Egypt, Pakistan, Madagascar, former Ambassador of Mauritius to Moscow, activists of the Association of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities and the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Permanently residing on the island.
During his speech, Russian Ambassador K.V.Klimovsky spoke in detail about the course of the Russian operation in Ukraine, about the provocative anti-Russian campaign of the collective West, and also expressed confidence in the progressive development of bilateral relations.
During the reception, the guests were able to get acquainted with two photo exhibitions. One was dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter the Great, and the second was dedicated to the provision of humanitarian aid by the Russian authorities to the population of Donbass.
