Russia and Eritrea on the 77th session of UN General Assembly in New York

On September 23, in New York, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Eritrea Osman Saleh.

During the talks, priority areas for further development of bilateral cooperation were discussed. Sergey Lavrov and O. Saleh noted the high level of political interaction between Russia and Eritrea and agreed to continue the practice of close coordination of the steps of both countries in the UN and other international platforms.

There was also an in-depth exchange of views on topical international and regional issues, including the settlement of the situation in the Horn of Africa. The issues of preparation for the second summit of #Russiafrica are considered.
