The maps illustrate the changes of the Ryemouth village in two periods(1995 and nowadays).
Generally, during some period of time, Ryemouth became a more civilized village. That is, there's have been weighty changes in infrastructure, housing and probably qualification(main sphere of the village).
In 1995, the village was not so heavily populated: there were not so many buildings for housing. That is, the housing was only in the North-West of the village. In addition, there were shops built in the West,a cafe and a hotel in the East. In addition to the hotel, which was closer to the Southeast, there was a forest just North of it in the village. The village also had a farm, which was located near the forest, to the North. In the South there were a lot of buildings associated with fishing.
Currently, the village is more urbanized: there is much more housing in the West(houses on both sides of the road added one new one). Also, a car Park was built near the hotel, to the East of it. Western Stores became restaurants and everything that was associated with fish was demolished. Instead of fish markets in the South, new apartments were built for housing. On North the forest was demolished and a tennis court was built, along with a Golf course
