Mechanical design engineer

In our department, we as design engineers develop not only scanners, but also various accessories for them and work with complex software. For example, I have been working on the external part of our new scanner, which is top secret for now, but recently presented to the company's partners.

When you work as a design engineer, you sometimes feel like an artist: you can set different sizes, any surface curvature... And then, when you look at your project from the outside, you can evaluate: is it elegant or not? Is it beautiful or not? The freedom to choose between practicality and beauty is the most interesting thing about what I do.

We often have overlapping tasks in our team, but we always make decisions together. A scanner is a compact device and often, when there are things that are not feasible in terms of the materials used, we have to make informed decisions and balance within the team to find the best solution for everyone.

The moment I laid eyes on the Artec Leo, it evoked emotions akin to someone from the early 2000s encountering an iPhone for the first time. I'm proud to have had a hand in creating the case for it, as well as touching surface modeling in general.

Of course, Montenegro's unhurried pace of life leaves its indelible mark. With nearly 300 days of sunshine and an abundance of natural wonders, the possibilities for outdoor adventures abound. Whether embarking on an extensive hike or taking a refreshing swim in the sea, Montenegro offers a wealth of leisure activities.

My expectations for Luxembourg are twofold - a place steeped in culture and history alongside a hub of modern urban solutions. While I've never had the opportunity to visit, I'm hopeful that the network of friends in neighboring countries will facilitate a smooth adaptation process, if not a rapid one.

In my 36th year of life, also thanks to corporate classes, I discovered yoga. And it's great! It is a great way to relax after a working day.

If there's one book to read now, I'd recommend Hemingway's "Farewell to arms".

1/ Cats or dogs?

Dogs. I had a dog, and besides, the phrase "dog is man's friend" was said absolutely once for a reason. The emotions you feel when this animal welcomes you home after work are inexpressible!

2/ If you would like to pick up any famous person to have a drink in a bar, who would it be?

I would relish the opportunity to share a drink with Jim Carrey, particularly the 90s version of him, known for his brilliant humor and charismatic presence.

3/ If not working as an engineer, what would you like to do?

I would aspire to be a civil aviation pilot, a dream shared by many boys in their youth.
