Andrey Varlamov

Sales Channel Director, Sales EMEA & APAC
1 year in Artec 3D
Luxembourg office

As Sales Channel Manager, I have to do everything I can to ensure that our scanners are actively sold. Overseeing sales across 20 diverse countries and coordinating with our extensive network of 35 partners, I also deal with strategic initiatives encompassing direct sales operations in Luxembourg.

I have worked in marketing for 10 years and I try to combine my sales expertise with my marketing background, coming up with some activities and programs that would help the business grow. I think it is important to move towards B2B marketing, i.e. to take on some separate areas, such as Forensics.

The task of the sales department at Artec 3D is to fully support our partners. From the first contact, which we pass on to them through the leads we generate, to the ordering of the scanner, its shipment and delivery to the reseller or directly to the end customer.

My strong point is communication. I like to communicate with different people and help them feel that in their work there is always someone who can support them in any matter. While communication holds immense value, three core attributes underscore a successful salesperson: the ability to empathize with the client's perspective, unwavering commitment to project completion despite adversities, and proficiency in conflict resolution.

Beyond the professional realm, my enthusiasm for team sports allows me to exercise leadership prowess. So it was great that in Montenegro I had the opportunity to play basketball, which I have been passionate about for several years. I also really love traveling. I have already visited, I think, 47 countries and I try to actively expand my list and go to new places where I have not been before. My top 3 are: New York, Bali and Seychelles.

Montenegro pleasantly surprised me. I had never been there before and it was my first working relocation, but it went as smoothly and successfully as possible. I practically never worked from home for a single day because I always knew that I could come to our cool office, do great work and socialize with my colleagues.

Blitz:

1// Cats or Dogs?

Dogs. I have a dwarf dachshund.

2// If you would like to pick up any famous person to have a drink in a bar, who would it be?

I would probably choose Changpeng Zhao, the founder and CEO of one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance.

3/ If not selling, what would you like to do?
Marketing. Sales is impossible without marketing and it's great that my job allows me to combine both.
