Hi everyone! My name is Ella and I'm glad to see you on my channel! Today is a special video because one of my favorite holidays is coming up - Halloween! OFTV is actively preparing for this event, and I can't stay aside either. I decided to add a little holiday magic to the classic Ukrainian dish - Olivier salad, and make it in Halloween theme! It will be not only delicious, but also very scary beautiful! Let's get started!
ПЕРЕЧИСЛЕНИЕ ИНГРИДИЕНТОВ:
For today's Halloween Olivier I will need these delicious ingredients: three hundred grams of juicy ham, four hard-boiled eggs, four boiled potatoes, two boiled carrots, four crunchy pickles, two hundred grams of green peas and one small onion to spice up the flavor. These ingredients will create the base for our festive dish!
ПЕРЕЧИСЛЕНИЕ ИНГРИДИЕНТОВ ДЛЯ УКРАШЕНИЯ: For our sauce and decoration we will need the following ingredients: some pepper and salt for flavor, a few fresh sprigs of dill for flavor and freshness, a drop of green food coloring to add brightness, black olives for decoration, and mayonnaise and sour cream to provide a creamy texture and flavor. These ingredients will help create not only an appetizing sauce, but also a spectacular presentation of our dish!
ОПИСАНИЕ ПРОЦЕССА: I decided to cheat a little and boiled all the vegetables I would need in advance, so now all that's left is to put our Halloween salad together! First of all, we'll divide the hard-boiled eggs: the white will be cut into small cubes, and the yolk will be grated on a fine grater, it will come in handy for decoration. Potatoes, carrots, ham, pickles and onions are also cut into neat equal cubes. All this cutting will give the salad the perfect texture and will look very appetizing!
ПРЕДЫСЛОВИЕ ОТ МЕНЯ: In Ukraine, Halloween is not as popular as in other countries, such as the USA, where it is celebrated with great fanfare. But in recent years, more and more people in our country are also starting to join this fun and a little bit spooky holiday. They decorate houses, carve pumpkins, and have costume parties. And even though it's not a traditional holiday for us, I love the atmosphere of Halloween - you can be imaginative and add a little magic to even the usual things, like today's Olivier salad!
СМЕШИВАНИЕ ИНГРИДИНТОВ:
I gently mix all the chopped vegetables, ham, egg whites and tender green peas in a large pot - the ingredients combine perfectly to create the base for our festive dish. For the finishing touch, I set aside some carrots, a few peas and two teaspoons of chopped egg whites - they'll be key decor elements, giving the salad not only flavor but also a spectacular Halloween-inspired look!
ПРИПРАВЛЯЕМ САЛАТ СОЛЬЮ И ПЕРЦЕМ:
Now it's time to give our salad its final flavor. I add half of the mayonnaise, which gently binds all the ingredients together, making the salad even more succulent. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper to balance the flavors. Then I gently stir it so that each piece is covered with sauce, and our Olivier becomes ready for the final step - festive decoration!
БЛЮДО ВЫКЛАДЫВАЮ КРАСИВО: I now carefully place the salad on a pretty platter, shaping it into a neat circle. I compare the top and edges to achieve a perfect finish. To create a festive mood, I decorate the sides of the salad with grated egg yolk - it gives brightness and contrast, emphasizing the style of our Halloween treat.
ЗЕЛЕНЫЙ СОУС: I add a few drops of green food coloring to the remaining mayonnaise to give it a bright and rich color, perfect for our Halloween dish. Then I add finely chopped dill - its fresh flavor and bright green hue will complement our sauce perfectly, giving it a sophisticated look. It will not only be delicious, but also beautiful.
ФИНАЛЬНОЕ УКРАШЕНИЕ:
Now on to the final decoration of our Halloween Olivier! Using green mayonnaise, I carefully decorate the top of the salad, creating a nice and colorful layer. Then along the edge of the circle I lay out neat pieces of carrots, egg whites and green peas - they add texture and color, making the dish more appetizing. I finish the decoration by sprinkling everything with finely chopped olives, which add a touch of sophistication and complete our culinary masterpiece.
УКРАШЕНИЕ ГУСТОЙ СМЕТАНОЙ И ПАУЧОК
Now it's time to add the finishing touches to our Halloween masterpiece! With thick sour cream I draw a spider web on the top layer of the salad, creating an atmosphere of mystery and a bit of spookiness. Then from a black olive I form a spider and carefully plant it in the center of our scary salad - it will become a bright accent and add an element of play. All done! Now your Halloween table will be a real work of art, and let your party become an extravaganza full of fun and delicious food!
ФИНАЛЬНАЯ ДЕМОНСТРАЦИЯ САЛАТА: Look how beautiful we made it! I'm still thrilled with the result. To be honest, this is my first attempt at making such a Halloween Olivier and I was a little nervous, but now I see that it turned out just fine! Not only does this brightly colored, spooky looking salad look amazing, but it promises to be incredibly delicious. I'm sure it will be a real hit at any party!
