Essay IELTS 2

Public libraries should only provide books and should not waste their limited resources on expensive high-tech media such as software, videos or DVDs. Do you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that should libraries spend their limited resources on high-tech media or should not. Personally, I belive that public libraries would become advantageous, if they wasted more money on development media like DVDs, videos and so on.

First of all, I should say that I am convinced that public libraries, which have development high-tech media, are more helpful and popular. Moreover, they often attract people more than libraries without such media. Common visitors of libraries at all are students and people who work in the field of education. And I think that they would also prefer the libraries with high-tech media. This happens because a big number of people choose working or study in comfortable and improved occasions.

On the other hand, there could be many people who disagree with my thoughts. For instance, there might be old fashioned individuals who cannot get used to high-tech media. It happens because they accostomed to common libraries only with books. I should also notice that such media as software, videos and DVDs can hurt our health. For example, our vision may become worse.

Summarise everything I said before, I can draw the conclusion that advantages of public libraries with high-tech media outweight its disadvantages. So, libraries should spend more money on development media like DVDs, videos and software.
