How to setup Rock Space AC1200 WiFi Extender

Rock Space AC1200 wifi extender helps you to extend the wifi range or signals of your router. It will provide you the complete coverage throughout your house. It is ideal for a lag-free gaming experience and endless video streaming.

Rock Space provides all kinds of networking device such router and extender. It also has some other extender model numbers like; AC750 and AC2100, AX1800. AX1800 is the newly launched wifi extender by rockspace. It supports wifi 6 technology.

It is very easy to configure your extender and the user can configure it via two methods.

1. Via WPS Method
2. Via Web UI (User Interface)

In this article, we will talk about both methods one by one.

Setup with WPS

This is the easiest method to use. Sometimes, it does not work if the WPS settings are not enable on the router. Before you start pushing the WPS button on the router and extender you need to consider few points.

1. Make sure you reboot your router and modem.
2. If you already tried to configure it with WPS and it did not work then make sure WPS is enabled or not on the router.
3. Extender should be closer to the router.

Note: You can contact your router provider to enable the WPS on the router.

Once you keep these three points in your mind. After that, all you need to do is just push the WPS on the router and within one minute press the same WPS on the extender. It will start blinking for a while and then you suppose to get solid blue LED on the signal.

Once you see the power and signal light solid blue in color. It means your extender is configured you can change the location and connect your device with it.

Setup with Web Browser

Follow the steps below to start the setup process with web browser:

1. First of all, plug your extender into the power outlet.
2. Use your device and connect with Rockspace_EXT.
3. Open a web browser and type re.rockspace.local in the address bar.
4. A window will come up and asks you to create login password. This login password will help you to login onto the extender in future.
5. Select the network name that you would like to extend.
6. Now enter the wifi password for the network that you have selected to extend.
7. Finally, click on Extend and it will apply the changes on it.
8. Once it will be configured, you can change the location and connect your device to it.
