Main Purpose of Job

Provide strategy and legal excellence to the accomplishment of the objectives of the Kimberly-Clark Consumer and Professional organizations in CEE and of the Corporation, and to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Trusted business partner to the VP CEE and other business leaders of the Business Unit Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”)
  • Leading the CEE legal team with currently 4 lawyers, assessing and redefining roles & responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a legal strategy for the geography with clear priorities and committed targets
  • Drive LEAN initiatives by divesting standard legal operations and free up time for high value strategic support
  • Deliver results by executing key projects with excellence in Priority Market Russia and other CEE countries
  • Develop and execute an encompassing annual compliance plan for the geography
  • Play key role in EMEA legal leadership and extended global legal team
  • Legal excellence in contract law, M&A, antitrust, anticorruption (FCPA, UKBA), corporate matters, corporate governance, IP, regulatory (including EHS), and marketing/ advertising laws
  • Developing a strategic process for use of outside counsel in geography, managing the legal budget for the geography
  • Leadership in regulatory investigations, legal disputes and claims

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Legal masters degree of equivalent, qualification to practice law (in Russia) with a minimum of 8 years experience ideally within an international (CPG) company or law frim
  • Strong leadership and operational skills -- passion for law, ability to inspire and galvanize the team, deliver results through commitment and prioritization
  • Excellent business understanding and ability to strategically advise the business
  • Fluency in English and Russian
