Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Initiate and lead customer meetings and/or presentations which generate understanding of customer needs for proof of Teradata’s capability
  • Identify Business Opportunities and Benefit potentials through Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics solutions at Telecommunication companies
  • Assist the sales teams to develop sales strategies and actively execute these by leveraging relations to mainly business stakeholders on customer side
  • Perform Business Impact Analysis and Business Cases to support customers in getting management approval for funding of analytics and BI related projects
  • Conduct strategic Consulting Services for discovery of information needs incl. the corresponding value as well as defining a digital strategy including analytics/BI-/Data Warehouse Roadmap for customers
  • Act as lead consultant in executing such projects
  • Apply learning from other Teradata customer projects worldwide to the local country sales engagements, for example in the areas of customer journey, campaign management, data mining applications or Big Data developments
  • Contribute to creation of bid documentation at the time of RFPs
  • Own the structuring, negotiation and closing of deals which have a bespoke services component, ensuring target margins and other fiscal targets are met.
  • Work with the account team to provide the outlook on overall revenue, backlog and orders

Experience & Skills:

  • At a minimum post-graduate degree of university or MBA, along with at least 5 years of deep experience on Business side within a Telecommunication provider or as a Consultant acting for Telecommunication providers
  • Demonstrable understanding of the target industry and notable experience in the Data domain (Data Warehousing, BI, Data Management, Data Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Big Data, etc.)
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning whilst maintaining operational and tactical requirements
  • Practical experience of building and justifying value based business cases
  • Strong operational business understanding of key business processes in the telecommunication industry, especially with those processes reliant on data analysis – possible examples are billing, strategic planning & pricing, customer marketing, campaign management or product management and analytics
  • Good understanding of the deployment of analytical results
  • Practical experience of delivering complex projects
  • Proven Consulting soft skills in communication, establishing of strategic direction, influencing others, problem solving, facilitating and managing meetings
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, also in English language. Comfortable and effective in working with senior executives
  • Structured and analytical work methods, conceptually strong
  • Ability to act independently and find creative solutions for customer problems; also in complex environments
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in written and spoken business English
