Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege is a set of the same incidents that happened at various locations of Punjab. The incident of sacrilege resulted in the 2015 Kotkapura police firing incident.

In the early hours of the morning, a clash between protestors and police happened at Bargari village. The protesters were carrying sticks and black flags. Everything was going perfect, but later on, some politicians provoked the crowd.

Throughout the clash, both police and various protesters were hurt, from which a young protester was shot in the legs. One policeman was also beaten mercilessly by the crowd, and he was left paralyzed waist down. Sumedh Saini Breaks Silence in Bargari Case

As per the then DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, the executive magistrate ordered the usage of force at Kotkapura to control the circumstance and no solid facts are verifying that IPS Umranangal was engaged in any criminal misconduct.

DGP Sumedh Singh Saini stated that Umranangal’s arrest is a political move. Strangely, there a demand arose for IPS Paramraj Singh Umranangal's arrest way before an enquiry was initiated. By no means this a case of violence directly, but it’s a conspiracy or perhaps a political agenda with some motive.

Finally, Paramraj Singh Umranangal Out on Bail in Kotkapura Case. The honorable court directed Punjab Police to give him one-week advance notice if in any condition he’s required to be cross-examined.

The SIT back then claimed a breakthrough at a press conference on October 21, 2015, terming the Bargari sacrilege incident is a handiwork of some foreign handlers.

The media also have shown that the foreign handlers named in the case were NRIs who sent money to some people to finance the anti-sacrilege protest in Bargari, which added fuel to the fire.

Mohinder Pal Bittu Key Conspirator of Bargari Sacrilege Case

SIT arrested Bittu from Palampur, Himachal in 2011 in a case of arson in Moga. They claimed that during his interrogation, it emerged that he was the main conspirator of Bargari sacrilege who had involved Sunny Shakti and others. The blueprint to execute sacrilege in Bargari was the handiwork of Bittu and others to take avenge on the insult of the Dera head by Sikh preacher Harjinder Singh Manjhi at Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village.

When the SIT got his remand for 10 days, Bittu, a Kotkapura resident, confessed to carrying out the sacrilege in a statement before the judicial magistrate, Moga, under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. However CBI was already investigating the matter, the SIT even claims of finding the accused, handed over its report back to the CBI.

CBI Gives Clean Chit to Dera Follower Bittu in Sacrilege Cases

The CBI, in its closing report, disproved the findings of the Khatra-led SIT and gave clean chit to Dera men. Though Bittu has admitted his crime in front of the judicial magistrate, CBI denial the claims of the SIT in the report. Rest it is no secret what’s happening in this case? Everybody is playing the blame game, nobody is interested to know about the truth behind sacrilege.
