As of now, the project’s social platforms are either closed or inactive.
About Infamous Skullz
The Infamous Skullz collection featured known characters from cartoons of different periods, from the 90s and earlier, to recent years. Cartoons like The Flintstones, SpongeBob SquarePants, or Rick and Morty had their counterpart on the Skullz collection.

The NFTs were issued in the Ethereum blockchain, with a minting price of 0.09 ETH. The minting process took place on October 1st, October 4th, and October 7th. At the time of writing, the floor price is 0.004 ETH on the NFT marketplace OpenSea.
Besides this initial collection, the team announced a Halloween drop on October 28th, but these weren’t delivered. Early buyers were also offered a promotional hoodie and a 3D skull (a different NFT), but these objects weren’t delivered either.
Who is behind Infamous Skullz?
The main face of the Infamous Skullz project is artist Dino Tomic, who has worked with popular performers like Snoop Dogg or The Weeknd. He was in charge of creating all the artwork for the collection, from the skullz to the backgrounds and Halloween sets. According to the official website of Infamous Skullz: “This collection in particular has been a project of Dinos for over a year in the making”.
Besides Dino, the website lists team members Developer Tim, Creative Director Eric, Campaing Manager Josh, and Traffic and Operations Callum. However, the identities of these members are not disclosed, nor their previous works, backgrounds, or even full names.
Skullz Game
The Infamous Skullz project also featured a videogame, where token holders could battle one another, matching Skullz to win. The puzzle-style game became progressively harder, increasing the level of the dynamic.
Participants were pitted against each other in a tournament, where they could win the artwork of their opponent. They also had the chance to win a big prize of up to $25,000.
Market performance
This collection of NFTs didn’t have a great market performance. According to this OpenSea graph, the average price and the trading volume of the Skullz followed a downwards trend in the weeks following their launch. Looking at volume data from Footprint Analytics, it became virtually non-existent in 2022.
After a short peak on November 4th, where the highest purchase took place with a price of 0.2 ETH (equating $907 at the time), the average price kept dropping until it reached almost $0.
At the time of writing, the last sale of a skull took place on October 23rd, 2022, for a price of 0.003 ETH (around $4.75). The developers behind the project are no longer active, and the artist claimed he was only hired to create the designs and didn’t take part in the creation of the project.
The last interaction on social media took place on December 26th, on Twitter, after being inactive for two months. The publication states that the team has been sued three times, and promises to be back. The promise has not yet been fulfilled.
