Rogue West: Crypto Trading Card Game

Everything you need to know about Rogue West: Crypto TCG. What it is, how to play it, and get answers to frequently asked questions. Have fun!

About the Game

Rogue West: Crypto TCG is a trading card game you can play anytime, anywhere. Travel across the alternative Wild West, where danger awaits at every corner: zombies, fanatics and outlaws of all kinds.

Each player uses their own deck of cards. Playing the cards in turn, they gain victory points. The goal of the game is to score more points than the opponent. Sounds deceptively simple, but the more cards you have, the more ways you can outsmart your foe with unusual tactics.

Due to simple rules, you can play right in your favorite messenger, Twitter, Reddit or any other social network. You can even play offline with friends as your collection is tied only to your crypto wallet.

The game is built on blockchain technology. Each card is a non-fungible token (NFT) that you can buy, sell or exchange on the secondary market. The number of cards on the market is strictly limited so their price will grow steadily.

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are the new Wild West. Just like Rogue West: Crypto TCG!

How to Play

This short ruleset was compiled during the first tests of the game’s prototype. This is the basis for further development. A more comprehensive version of the rules affecting competitive play is planned for the near future.

But for now the rules are simple:

  1. Prepare your deck.
  2. The player who offered to play becomes the first, and the other one - the second.
  3. The first player puts down any card from his deck.
  4. The second player puts down a card with higher power or a card that beats the previous one.
  5. The participants play their cards in turn.
  6. The same card cannot be played twice in a row.
  7. Skip your turn If you don't have a legit card.
  8. The game ends if both players skip their turns.
  9. Count your victory points by adding up the power of your cards that were not beaten.
  10. The player whose card was played last gets 10 additional victory points.
  11. The player with the most victory points wins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a competitive game?

Yes, Rogue West: Crypto Trading Card Game is designed to be competitive.

How many players participate in the game?

Two people by default. But theoretically, you can play in any company. Just be prepared for the fact that the benefits of some cards will change. I plan to expand the game formats in the future.

How many cards should there be in my deck?

In Rogue West: Crypto TCG, the concepts of «deck» and «collection» are identical. All the cards that are in your collection can be used in the game.

Do I need to have multiple copies of the same card?

No. It is enough to own just one copy of the card to play it as many times as you want.

Where can I see the full list of released cards?

In the project collection on OpenSea.

There is only one card in the game! How can you play with this?

At the moment, it is impossible to play a full game, because the project is at an early stage of development. I plan to issue new cards regularly. But the speed of new content release depends entirely on your support!

On OpenSea, each map is presented in only 100 copies. Why such a small stock?

There are two reasons. First, it will encourage players to make more diverse decks based on what they have managed to acquire. After all, it's boring when everyone has absolutely all the cards, right? Secondly, this will have a positive impact on the investment attractiveness of the project. Due to the scarcity, players will exchange cards more actively, as well as resell them on the secondary market.

So, you will never re-issue the cards?

Yes and no. Re-issue of identical cards is excluded. But perhaps I will release alternative versions of especially popular cards in the future. For example, with an animated illustration or a modified frame.

Where can I download the game client?

At the moment, the project does not have a client. The philosophy of Rogue West: Crypto TCG is that people can play anytime, anywhere, without being tied to an «official» site or platform. That's the whole point of decentralization, isn't it? But if you want to create a client that will use card metadata from OpenSea, then I don't mind.

I found an error or typo! How can I fix it?
