COVID-19 in Russia: additional prohibitions and restrictions are introduced in Moscow.

On 10 April 2020, the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin signed Decree 42-УМ introducing further measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

From April 13 to April 19, 2020, a number of additional prohibitions and restrictions are introduced in Moscow.

1. The work of almost all enterprises and organizations is temporarily suspended, except for government bodies, medical organizations, food and medical industry enterprises, manufacturers of personal protective equipment, key defense enterprises, space enterprises, nuclear industry and critical infrastructure.

  • Food shops and other retail stores, which are currently open, continue to operate.
  • Structures ensuring wages payment can continue to work.
  • All operating enterprises should minimize staff present at workplaces. The remaining employees are transferred to remote work or to a non-working week.

2. The construction (repair) work is suspended, with the exception of the construction of medical facilities, as well as continuous cycle works in the construction and maintenance of the metro, railway, ground public transport and airports.

3. Car sharing is suspended.

4. The provision of medical services by organizations and individual entrepreneurs, for which this type of activity is not the main one, is suspended.
