The Jobs for NSW bill has passed through both houses of Parliament, paving the way for 150,000 new jobs and a turbo-charged State economy that will continue to lead the nation.
The legislation creates a new entity that will be led by the private sector and work with government to attract and retain businesses in NSW
Jobs for NSW will target the jobs of the future and guide the NSW Government on how to best maximise the state’s resources, talent and potential.
Former Telstra chief executive and incoming CSIRO chair David Thodey will be the inaugural chair of the Jobs for NSW board.
The Jobs for NSW board will drive a $190 million Jobs for NSW Fund to support investment in areas of maximum jobs growth and potential.
