Closed Beta Test: Update 0.3.0

Greetings, dear players!

This is the most ambitious update that we released so far. Get ready for a huge number of new features. Ready? Well, first things first:

Graphics


We immensely improved the quality of light, shadows and reflections - the graphics are more advanced and impressive than ever! All locations were improved to better accommodate the new level of graphic quality. A lot of heroes were redesigned: Ironclad, Liquidator Kate, Jack Bulwark, Kibo, Marcus, Shang the Monk. In a word, our visuals are on a completely new level and we hope that you will like it! You may not be able to make adjustments to the graphics settings at this time. A full selection will open up for you in one of the future updates.

Locations


In the new update, several new locations were added: Bamboo Forest, Archipelago of the Damned, Legion Capital, The Rift. You will unlock them gradually as you gain rating.

Gameplay Updates

  • Standardized blocks for all heroes. Now, after successful blocking, every character will step back the same distance. And now your opponent aren't guaranteed a throw, after you block their attack.
  • Removed a stagger effect after your hero hits a wall because of opponents attack. Now when you block an attack with your back against the wall, you can reliably throw your opponent.
  • Rebalanced damage and shadow energy gain for some heroes.
  • Checked and configured attacks framedate. Now, after a successful hit, your character will always get control at the same time as the enemy. And after blocking - always get control before the one who hit the block for a certain number of frames (depends on the attacking hit).

Login rewards

  • Added daily rewards.

Various fixes and improvements


We fixed a number of bugs, and also made a large number of changes, such as:

  • Explosions and various effects now do less damage. We investigated and fixed a bug when, in some situations, the damage could increase sharply and instantly kill the opponent (for example, the Shield of Burning and the Explosion of light could inflict both normal damage and 11x damage size).
  • Explosions can no longer deal critical damage.
  • Fixed the bugs when during the use of a long-range attack at close range this attack could “fly” through the opponent without causing damage to him.
  • Now in shadow form, hit effects display correctly. Many of the shadow effects have been recolored and brought to the same color scheme.
  • Updated some talent and abilities descriptions.
  • Sound effects of some heroes have been improved/finalized (for example, now you can hear Fireguard movements).
  • A large number of new visual effects have been added for some heroes.
  • Fixed a bug when the pistols in the game did not cause damage.

We also continue to work on heroes. Shang the Monk was almost completely redesigned. We also took into account the imbalance of Jet - we changed her ability, and some of her talents.

Shang the Monk

  • "Shadow Protection" ability has been changed: now in shadow form, hero blocks damage with his shadow energy
  • Increased Physical Damage
  • Introduced a bunch of new talents:

SHADOW CONSUMPTIONS

When Shang enters shadow form, he restores some of his health.

COURGE ARROW

Shang's ranged attack deals shadow damage and paralyzes his opponent on hit.

SHADOW GENESIS

At the beginning of the round, Shang enters the overload state, in which he generates shadow energy very quickly

SHADOW FINALE

When Shang takes fatal damage, he retains one health point and enters shadow form.

GLOOM EXPLOSION

If the enemy knocks Shang out of his shadow form, his Shadow Protection will explode.

WEAK POINTS

Every time Shang deals shadow damage, his shadow power rises. This effect persists between rounds.

SHADOW SUPPRESSION

The amount of bonus shadow energy for attacks blocked by the opponent is increased.

TRANCE

Shadow protection withstands more damage. Shadow form duration is increased.

STYLE OF THE DRAGON

Shadow abilities become quicker - the start time of each ability is reduced.

STYLE OF THE VIPER

Shadow abilities become more powerful - area of effect of each ability is increased.

Jet

  • "Tornado" ability has been changed to "Shadow Harmony": if Jet has attacked her opponent 15 times, she enters Shadow Harmony state. In this state, all her attacks deal bonus damage and break through the opponent's block.
  • Introduced a bunch of new talents:

KINETIC SHIELD

Upon entering the Shadow Harmony state, Jet receives protection from one enemy attack.

STABLE HARMONY

Shadow Harmony length increased.

STEEL STING

When using her ranged attack, Jet throws 5 needles instead of 3.

LIGHT REFRACTION

From the start of the round and before Jet takes damage, she's invisible.

REFLEX

When Jet is hit by a critical attack, she braces herself and performs a roll.

ADRENALINE RUSH

Jet restores some of her health if she defeats her opponent while in a Shadow Harmony state.

FORTITUDE

In a state of Shadow Harmony, Jet is completely immune to any negative effects.

BATTLE TRANCE

In a state of Shadow Harmony, all Jet's attacks restore her health.

SHADOW COMPOSURE

Jet needs 12 attacks to enter the Shadow Harmony state.

FATAL RESONANCE

The amount of bonus damage that Jet deals in Shadow Harmony is increased.

Ling

  • Now, after using the “Slashing strike” ability, you cannot immediately deal critical damage
  • Changed "Ling's Flask" ability: its action distance has been reduced, the distance is synchronized with the animation
  • "Flask of Concentration" talent now only gives 1 charge of slashing strike, but not full charges the katana
  • Reduced physical damage
  • Reduced long-range attack cooldown
  • Fixed a bug when Ling could freeze in an endless drinking cycle while using Flask talent
  • Improved the visual effect of hitting "Slashing strike" in shadow form

Marcus

  • Fixed bugs when "Through the glitch" ability was not activated if a lot of damage was received
  • Increased physical and shadow damage

Kibo

  • Improved "Shadow excellence" talent: fixed a number of bugs related to this talent, as well as duration increased
  • Increased physical damage
  • Increased health

Fireguard

  • Fixed a bug when the shadow move "Spine Breaker" was played several times in a row
  • Talents "Earth on Fire" and "Shadow Flames" now synergize as intended
  • Visual effects of the "Countdown" ability corrected
  • Reduced "Countdown" ability damage
  • Reduced "Critical mass" talent damage
  • Reduced "Painful burns" talent damage
  • Reduced "Heating engines" talent damage

Ironclad

  • Correct "Phenomenal Stubbornness" talent activation
  • Fixed a bug when getting several long-range attacks at once, three icons of the ability “Non-stop” were displayed at once
  • Increased the damage of shadow ability "Legionary jump"
  • “Non-stop” ability has been redesigned: now enemy`s long-range attacks make Ironclad unbreakable for a while.
  • "Persistence" talent now gives temporary invulnerability to ranged enemy attacks

Feldsher Azuma

  • "Neutralization" ability now blocks the use of the Emperor’s shadow moves
  • Added new animation when using the shadow move "Naginata flight"
  • "Countermeasures" and "Impulse" talents swapped places on a talent board

Helga

  • Reduced health
  • Several talents swapped places on a talent board: now reaching level 4 you will unlock "Shield of burning" talent, level 6 — "Shield of lasting" and on level 8 — "Light`s inspiration" talent

Emperor

  • Shadow beast can no longer use kicks

Mercenary

  • The name of the hero has changed to Jack Bulwark, a new description has been added
  • Changed the Unbreakable timing on an upper attack
  • Changed the Unbreakable timing on a lower attack
  • Introduced a new talent bunch:

AGGRESSION

After inflicting 10 fractures on his opponent, Bulwark starts to deal more damage. This effect persists between rounds.

SUPERIOR PROTECTION

Bulwark takes less damage when Unbreakable.

INCREDIBLE ENDURANCE

If Bulwark is on low health, the Shadow Fortress activates.

THRILL OF THE BATTLE

After winning the round, Bulwark recovers some of his health: the more Fractures on his opponent, the more health Bulwark will get.

FORTRESS OF HEALING

Blocking attacks with Shadow Fortress, Bulwark restores his health.

INEVITABILITY

Bulwark puts Fractures on the opponent, even when his attacks are blocked.

GREAT REACTION

Shadow Fortress protects Bulwark form ranged attacks.

PERSISTENT BONE BREAKER

Fractures number is unlimited.

FORTRESS OF THE LEGION

When Bulwark blocks an attack with Shadow Fortress, it knocks his opponent out of shadow form.

ASSAULT FORTRESS

When Bulwark is in shadow form, the Shadow Fortress activates.

Liquidator Kate

  • Increased "Ballista" shadow ability damage
  • Increased "Legionary jump" shadow ability damage
  • "Liquidator`s tenacity" talent now takes more shadow energy
