  • Attach your Linksys extender to router via an ethernet cable.
  • Turn on your laptop and connect to wireless home network.
  • Power on both the devices
  • Wait for a few minutes until the power LED turns solid green.
  • Run any of your preferred web browsers on your desktop or laptop.
  • Type 192.168.1.1 Linksys IP address in the web address bar.
  • Press the ‘Enter’ key.
  • Enter the default Linksys extender login credentials.
  • Hit on the ‘Login’ button.
  • Select the extender mode.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions. Once done, hit on the ‘Apply’ button to save the final changes.
  • Unplug your device and place it to a new location.
  • Try to connect any of your smart devices to extended network to test the internet connection.
