Hang Seng Index up 158 points midday

The hang seng index grew 0.61 percent, or 158.55 points to 26,322.18 points, by midday.

The mainboard turnover was about HK$77.94 billion. The Hang Seng TECH Index rose 1.56 percent to 6,884.29.

Among the blue chips, Haidilao International (6862) was the most effective gainer, whose shares went up 5.1 percent, at HK$31.95.

Country Garden (2007) dropped 3.02 percent to HK$8.36, the worst performer. The SSE Composite Index grew 0.77 percent to 3,649.65 points and Shenzhen Composite Index rose 0.59 percent at 2,477.94 points.
