2022-02-15T12:48:29.761Z

The art related to any city in the world is recognized by the landmarks it portrays. Check wall art showing Gondolas, the Eiffel Tower, London Bridge, the Taj Mahal, or the Golden Gate Bridge and you will instantly remember the cities – Venice, Paris, London, India, and San Francisco.

Hong Kong wall art is no different and if you choose to buy a slice of the city in an art form, you will be spoilt for choice. The reason is that though the city has literally risen from the ashes from being a small sleepy fishing harbor and village to a skyline that is dotted with steel and glass spires, artists have kept in touch with its history. No one thing is representative of the city’s past, there are several to choose from if you want to hang Hong Kong wall artin your home or office.

The main focus of Hong Kong wall art is keeping alive the rich traditions and culture of the city. Quaint sail-powered fishing boats might have long gone out of fashion (these are still seen sometimes in the Hong Kong harbor bringing in their catch) but they still form a very important part of Hong Kong wall art.

Here are some examples of wall art from Hong Kong that are great symbols of the city.

Sampans are on top of the list in Hong Kong wall art. These flat-bottomed wood boats with sails once dotted the Hong Kong harbor and for most of the population combined as home and work. Fishermen lived in them and went out to the seas for their daily catch. Sampans can be still seen in the waters off Hong Kong.

It is therefore small wonder that these boats make for the bulk of Hong Kong wall art.You can choose sampan art in various colors to match the specific décor of a room or office. Search the Internet and you will get sampan wall art in various sizes, both framed and unframed.

Another form of Hong Kong wall artwith a legacy as rich as the sampans are the double-decker buses that still ply in Hong Kong. These buses are exclusive to certain cities in the world and Hong Kong is one of them. Commonly known as Ding Ding, wall art and prints on this subject are very popular and available in a wide range of colors and sizes.

Apart from these two, other unique Hong Kong wall artsubjects include the Mafan and the streets-weepers of the city.

Where should you buy Hong Kong wall artto avail the best deals? Try the online environment rather than the studios and galleries in your locality. This is because on websites selling wall art of Hong Kong, you can set filters and buy precisely what you need in terms of subject, base colors, and precise price range.

Choosing the right wall art for your home

2022-01-19T06:08:34.903Z

They say a house speaks for itself and this is something we should all truly believe as every house has its own character that makes it unique and it is something that is entwined with that house. A house is the reflection of the owner’s character and taste and all of it is evident from the furniture, the art and the décor of the house. A house is complete only when it has all the characteristics like the right furniture, the right paint and the right wall décor.

Wall décor is something that exhibits the true character of the house and the owner’s taste in general. A wrong wall art can ruin the whole theme of the house and this is the foremost reason which makes it absolutely necessary that wall art is chosen very carefully. If a house owner does not choose the right wall art, the whole exercise of decorating the house will go to waste. Choosing the right wall art for your home is of utmost importance.

Now when choosing the right wall art, one must keep in mind a few things. These things if followed carefully will lead to a decorated house that will speak volumes for itself. The things one needs to follow are-

1. Working within the budget. Wall art can be really expensive. It can be so expensive that one might need to rob a bank for buying a piece of art. So, for those who don’t wish to get on the wrong side of law, looking for affordable art prints is the best option.

2. Looking for something unique. Wall art is all about character and unique designs. One must choose designs that are unique and support the character and taste of the owners. If an owner chooses something that is a common design, then it would be of no use and will be a sheer waste of money. This is why it is very important that one uses nothing but unique wall art for their home.

3. Choosing something different for every room. In case an owner wishes to have art on all rooms of the house, they must look into different kinds of things for different rooms. A similar design language for every room will be a sheer waste of time and money.

4. Measure. Before installing anything, one must measure the dimensions of the area where the said art work is to be installed and the same be installed only if it fits the area perfectly.

If these things are followed with perfection, there are absolutely no chances that a house will look dull or boring as far as wall art is concerned. The owners must understand the fact that wall art is something that has to be chosen very carefully and a simple mistake would mean a huge failure with the house décor. After all, who wants a house that doesn’t speak for itself?

Here are some tips to buy art prints for your home.

· Set your own rules: Do not focus on selecting abstract art that matches your home décor to the T. Rather, it would be visually appealing if the artwork stands out from the rest of the ambiance. Whatever might be your personal style and tastes, ensure that the canvas you buy makes the statement it was created for.

· Start with the neutrals: When you look for abstract prints for sale, it is not necessary to buy one that has a riot of colors staring back at you. The simplest way to ease abstract prints into your home is to opt for the minimal such as a neutral canvas with uncomplicated graphics. There will be a quiet level of sophistication without overwhelming the eye.

· Complement similar tones: If your home has a few accent colors the best way to match them with artwork is to have abstract art prints that carry the same basic hues. Say you have a few details in a room of a bright blue, the same details in the abstract art will give the space a well-considered and polished look.

· Size of the artwork: Consider the space for your new art addition before you search for abstract prints for sale.If you are in a small apartment, a large canvas will overwhelm the senses while a small print in a large space will exude a feeling of emptiness. The goal is to match and not overtake a space with artwork.

· Mounting space: The obvious spaces for mounting artwork is above the couch or adjacent to the bed. With abstract art, get creative in your placement – say the kitchen, the bathroom, or the hallway. Afterall, abstract art by its nature is unexpected and does not follow the usual art norms.

Abstract prints for sale are not necessarily a matter of huge investments. Start your collection with small canvases and price tags from small artists and graduate to larger pieces once you have got the feel of buying abstract art.

How to Choose the Right Art Posters for your Wall

2021-08-09T06:38:23.809Z

You can buy for your home amazing art posters of every hue, size, and design, But the trick is knowing how they can brighten up your home and increase the aesthetics manifold.

If you have decided to beautify your home with amazing art wall posters but do not know how to make the right choice, here are several tips to help you.

The Right Color

The color is the most crucial factor when you buy art wall posters. There are two ways to do it.

The first is to make the poster blend into the décor of the room. Take the color, style, and design into consideration if you want the poster to look organic in the room. The perfect choice here would be art wall posters that have some detail in colors that are present in the room like a red or orange wall.

In the other case, the color scheme will clash directly with the décor of the room. This is perfect when you want the poster to stand out in comparison to the general room design, the furniture, and everything else. In short, the poster will be the focal point of the whole room. Suppose the walls are a dark shade of blue, art wall posters to choose from in this case would have red, orange, or white as the central theme that instantly attracts attention.

However, be consistent in the choice of colors can keep it down to limited hues. A wide range of colors around the room will be confusing and greatly overwhelm the décor.

The Right Size

When it comes to art wall posters, size does matter as it should harmonize with the rest of the room. Small posters in a large room will give a sense of emptiness while a large poster in a small room can be crushing on the senses. But you have plenty to choose from as art wall postersare available in various sizes. Think about what size will be right for the space you have in mind. If it is a whole blank wall, the right size would be one A1 or several small A3 sizes.

The Right Theme

The image of the poster is more important than the color scheme if the room is built around a certain theme. For example, consider that your room has an African theme in yellow, brown, and beige and you have a choice of posters that have an African Woman and a landscape matching the wall colors. In this case, leave the poster that matches the décor and opt for one that matches the theme. You will further achieve the all-African effect that you want to show.

Finally, what is important is your liking for particular types of art wall posters. Regardless of the tips, if you do not like a poster do not buy it. Period.
