The next release on katharsis is the compilation “changes”, the label’s 10th V/A-release, bringing together 30 tracks from artists across the label and beyond. From close collaborators to new encounters, it traces connections between shifting contexts and perspectives, like a body breaking out of its shell, wings still wet and unsteady.

Working from a shared but open theme, the compilation centres around different experiences of change. Not as a single direction, but as something unfolding in parallel, through new chapters, emerging feelings, and forms shifting over time. The contributions reflect this in different ways, including the more uncertain, unresolved, or uncomfortable states that come with it, where things stall, harden, or spill over.

Sonically, the compilation moves across a wide spectrum, with some tracks driven more by physicality and forward motion, while others unfold through more abstract, textural zones. In between, much of the material unfolds in melodic, open states, guided by an experimental sensibility, though at times allowing more direct gestures to take shape.

Despite these differences, a shared sensitivity runs through the release. The tracks feel connected less by genre than by their emotional weight and their willingness to let ideas remain open. A collection of pieces that holds onto movement and instability, structures transforming like a body in constant metamorphosis, continuing to shift even after it seems to settle.

On his latest album, Zságer Balázs explores the intersection of Buddhist philosophy and digital culture. Drawing on ideas of emptiness, impermanence, and constant transformation, the album places these ancient concepts into a cybernetic sound environment shaped by contemporary electronic music.

The record unfolds like an internal boot sequence. It begins with an excerpt from László Krasznahorkai reflecting on infinite emptiness, from which a narrow beam of light gradually initiates the system. What follows is a series of shifting sonic states: rewired structures, weightless textures, and unstable forms. Glitch aesthetics, fragmented rhythms, and fluid sound design mirror the idea of identity as a continuously updating process rather than a fixed entity.

Rather than offering closure, Eternal Beta Mode embraces openness. Its final moments do not resolve into meaning but remain suspended in transformation. The album suggests a world in perpetual update—where forms dissolve, reconfigure, and generate new possibilities. With this release, Zságer addresses listeners who sense that stability may be an illusion, and that uncertainty is not a malfunction but a vital force of change.

Written over an intense, self-contained stretch of just under two weeks in early 2025, the record did not begin with a concept or intention. Instead, it unfolded instinctively, a continuous stream of ideas shaped by emotion, repetition, and immersion. The result is a body of work that feels less like a collection of tracks and more like a document of a state: hazy, introspective, and at times, disorienting.

A quiet duality runs through the album: presence and absence, clarity and detachment, movement and stillness. These tensions are not imposed, but inherent.. felt in the pacing, the restraint, and the weight each track carries. Where MONé’s previous and forthcoming EPs lean toward more defined sonic frameworks, Lucid Dreams turns inward. It resists structure in favor of feeling, allowing each piece to unfold without force or resolution.

Tracks like “Comatose” and “Therefore I Am” sit at the center of this space - suspended between stillness and momentum, awareness and surrender. The closing track, “Almost Maybe,” leaves things unresolved yet complete, echoing the transient nature of the journey itself. At its core, Lucid Dreams doesn’t attempt to explain itself. It doesn’t point outward or offer conclusions. Instead, it opens a space - raw, unfiltered, and deeply human.. where emotion is left uninterrupted and allowed to take form on its own terms.

This is MONé at his most unguarded - not in what is said, but in what is left unsaid.

SineOut is a new project whose first appearance on the label came through Act Of Disordered Love I, C-LIGHT's debut compilation.
SineOut is the project of Matteo Stella (aka Broken Audio) and Vincenzo Perugini: two distinct musical backgrounds brought together by a shared interest in sonic experimentation.
Two original tracks: Oculus and Chiasma, titles borrowed from the anatomy of sight and neural crossing, used to map the image of an hard-edged, hyper-digital sound that emerges from thin air, embracing the label's own language: speed, refraction, focus, convergence.

The EP is perfectly completed by two remixes pulling in total-opposing directions: Berlin-based producer and POEMS co-founder Genus Aix delivers an impressive leftfield abstract downtempo rework of Oculus, drawing on his material-based approach to sound design and layered, unpredictable rhythms. Milan electronic music legends Train To Eltanin take Chiasma deep into IDM and braindance territory with their characteristically uncanny and restless “Bathroom Druid” touch.

Trip the Light presents Different Sides of the Same Coin, their fourth release and first compilation, featuring label debuts from Endmodell, Malham Sound and rosiecpt, and one familiar face, amoura.

Endmodell eases us into the release with “U.”. Clocking in at just over 100 BPM, it is a glistening chugger: an abundance of emotional warmth billows from its chimney as it ambles along the scenic route. The track is stripped back to just a few key ingredients: a robust kick drum, crisp percussion, and an absolute treat of a lead synth, showing that less is definitely more when done right.

That scenic route starts to look a little more sinister as Malham Sound guides us into murky waters. Utilising space to build tension, a rubbery perc lead slowly builds the energy, gradually mutating into frenetic agitation, with the introduction of a rumbling low end, eerie pads, and an ominous bass swell.

rosiecpt steers us back to safety with “beneath the lilies”. The multiple, shimmering synth lines are the stars of the show, dazzling amongst snappy drums, neat processing, and a driving kick which alternates between a broken pattern and four to the floor to great effect.

Closing out the compilation is “data man”, a product of one of amoura’s many lost and untraceable projects: a stray file rescued from the ashes. The juxtaposition between ethereal pads and obscure vocal samples give a surreal, dream-like feeling. Layered drum breaks become increasingly rambunctious, with playful use of delay and panning creating a comforting breakbeat cocoon.
