Media Picker Crashed

It's been a long time that i'm not posting about guides or how to fix something, but recently, i got stupid things that causing very rare problem like you can't find the fix anywhere.

The Story

Recently, i was facing bugs that makes me frustrated for almost a month! But the funny thing is, it was because my own fault.

In every ROMs, i always do Debloating all useless system apps to prevent thise system apps from running in the backgrounds. [Also read Batch Debloat Article]

After doing everything that the internet says to fix this, none of them are fixing my problem.

Relabeling all files under /data/media/0/ [Only can be done using custom recovery such as TWRP and OrangeFox]
Fix SeLinux Contexts [Only can be done using custom recovery such as TWRP and OrangeFox]
Install SeLinux permission fix module [The file is available on XDA forums but i don't have the link anymore]
Repair and Change Partitions of Data, Cache and Metadata [Only can be done using custom recovery such as TWRP and OrangeFox]
Reset App Preferences [Go to Apps list > 3 dots > Other settings > Reset app preferences]
Clear Media Picker Databases
/data/data/com.android.providers.media/databases
/data/data/com.google.android.providers.media.module/databases
I forgot what else i've done for this 🥸

Point of Problem

Before Debloating, i always take a look in the apps list first. In MIUI,there's 2 of Downloads app:

So i debloat on of them that doesn't has a launch activity and then i forgot about it for long time ago. After 1 or 2 weeks i got a popups that telling my Media Picker [Also known as Media Storage] is Crashed [Also known as Keeps stopping], and it's always happened after i Moving, Copying, Deleting files whether To or From internal Download folder. [It's also affect to Gallery, MiXplorer, Browsers when downloading files]

Caused by the Problem

Fixing

After everything and nothing can fix, i try to experiments and finds what makes the problem to triggered, and here's what i'm doing, i already debloat all system apps as always before i'm doing this:

First, i move 2.5GB file using MiXplorer to Download folder [External to Internal storage]

It's completely safe and nothing wrong, but when i delete the file that i moved in Download folder, MiXplorer crashed and also the Media Picker.

I did it more than 10 times with different files, i also try to move a bunch of photos, the problem still persists when i delete them.

And i got an idea what about if i move and delete them to another folder. So i moved them to Pictures folder in Internal storage, everything is fine like the problem never exists.

I'm asking myself why? Why is it not crashed like before? I try to move and delete to Download folder again, it does crashed again! [I was like I FOUND YOU] I finally found what's makes the problem triggered.

As i said before, i always take a look of apps list to find another useless system apps, and then i remember there's a Download Manager app that i debloated. [I'm thinking like it might be connected to the problem right?]

So i try to install the app again using Lucky Patcher app. After the app installed, i try to move and delete big and bunch of photos to Download folder again, and you know what? Nothing is crashed, whether MiXplorer or Media Picker app, none of them is crashed! I repeat it again and again for almost 10 times and everything's fine.

After everything i'm done to fix the problem it's only because my stupid actions! Thanks for reading my story, it's not only a story, it can helps you in the next time if you do the same stupid thing like this too so you can fix it easily or you can avoid this problem by DO NOT DEBLOAT DOWNLOAD MANAGER APP!

I got another problem that causing the same as this issue, media picker will be crashed and your storage will not be able to be read by the system at all.
This problem caused by this app being killed by yourself:

The fix is just need to reboot your device and everything will be fine except you KILL that app again.

Xposed Edge

Do you ever imagine a tool app can do almost everything in single app? Of course you do, but you never found it until you found this article about Xposed Edge.

You know, actually there's some similar apps like Xposed Edge, but they're using too much battery usage, cause it's always running in the background, and if the app got killed or you kill it, the app will stop running, but not for Xposed Edge. This app will keep running even if the app got killed, how so? Because this app hook your system to keep the app running, and your battery will not being used by the app at all, and every single Xposed or Lsposed module has the same method to keep the modules running even the app is being killed by the system or you.

Warning, you're about to read detailed wiki about Xposed Edge app including the guides or tutorial about the features.

Installation

Device must have root access.

Download Xposed Edge app and Lsposed module
Open Magisk or whatever it is and install Lsposed module, restart device
After the device is booted, open root manager again
Go to modules, find the Lsposed and click on Action button
You'll redirected to Lsposed app
Go to modules and enable Xposed Edge app and then restart device again

What this app can do exactly?

First thing is, Gestures and Keys.

You can do ANY actions with Gestures, you can do basic keys like Back button, go to Home screen, back to Last App, and even go to Recents app.

But that's only the basics, and this is everything you can do with it:

Media Control: Play, Pause, Next and Previous.
Fast Scroll: Automatically scroll to the Bottom or to the Top as you wish.

Rotating Screens: Rotate your screen at almost every rotations: Portrait, Landscape, Upside Down, Seascape, 90°, 180°, -90° and toggle to turn on and off Auto Rotate.

One click or swipe gesture can Kill Foreground app easily.
All basic Quick Settings can do, you can do in this app as well, including turn on and off:

Wi-Fi
Mobile Data
Bluetooth
Location
NFC
Sync
Airplane Mode
Torch or Flashlight
Hotspot Portable

Screen Filter: What is Screen Filter do? Yes it's a reading mode or night light mode to make your screen color to half yellow as usual, but with this app, you can set your own colors. You want to make your screen dim? Set half black color. You want to make your screen feels cold? Set the color to half blue color. And you can freely choose the colors yourself with the color wheel.
Hiding Statusbar and Navigation Bar or Pill Gestures with one click or gesture.
Make the device Stay Awake without even go to Display Settings, and some ROMs or devices doesn't even a function to keep the screen awake, but this app can do it for you.
Gesture Pointer: Too lazy to use your phone with two hands? Too lazy to touch the upper screen of your phone? Don't worry, Gesture Pointer will make it easier for you. Swipe the Gesture Pointer to point and click wherever you want.

Kill Background Apps: Clear running apps is in your hands, as you all know, AOSP doesn't have a features or functions to clear running apps in the background, it's only clear the apps from Recents App but it's not clearing the caches or stop the app from running in the background, with this app, you can really clear and stop them to run in your back.
This app is also has a floating App Drawer, you can run or open any installed apps so you don't need to go back to your home screen first. And in App Drawer, there's some extra functions with long press action, and here's the functions:

Are you using a Freezer kinda apps to Freeze Apps? Why did you do that? Just use this app bro.
Some annoying notifications suddenly appear from an app? You can Stop them in floating App Drawer like it was nothing.
View the app on the Play Store.

And the Drawer is not only App Drawer, there's Freezer Drawer and Running Apps Drawer. Confused? Here's the details:

Freezer Drawer is a drawer to see which apps is freezed by you in App Drawer.
And Running Apps Drawer is a drawer to see all apps that running in the background.
It's more alike a small launcher isn't it?

Shortcuts Panel: Wants to switch an apps quickly? You can use this. Want to do an actions quickly? You can use this as well. But you need to set up the Shortcuts Panel first.
Custom Panel: This functions can do the same as Shortcuts Panel, but you can set all the grid freely. (Grid is the row and columns size, example: 2×2 or 4×4.) → Guides to create iOS Assistive Touch tools.

Side Bar: Same as Shortcuts and Custom Panel but this function is only pop-up the actions on the side of your screen.
Floating Widgets: Check and see widgets in a floating display (Notes: This features is feels unstable enough to when you want to exit from the Floating Widgets.)

Input Text: Are you an admins of an online store or something? You need to be polite to every single person who contacts you but don't have a bot? So you will use an alternative like Copy and Paste to the person who contact you right? Pity you. Use this Input Text so you can input text with a single click with your own greetings template!

Adjust, Slide Adjust, Successive Adjust: Your volume button got broken? Or too lazy to open quick settings to adjust brightness? This function is the answer. You can Adjusts such as:

Brightness
Screen Filter Alpha (The transparency)
Volume (Including system, media, alarm, ringer and more)

No one's texts you? Or do you want to create a simple temporary notes from notification? With this app, you can send a Notification with one click and your own text!

Now a Toast, not the bread! It's a small notification at the bottom of your screen that sometime apps send it to let you know about something with the app. (Sorry, hard to explain.) The point is, this app can send a Toast with your own text.
Are you a tutorial content creators? Are the content needs you to record your screen? Sometimes, you may need to circling a spot or giving an arrow to point something right? This app has a functions called Pen, use it to make your life easier.

Power Menu: Yeah you must already know what is this for, this app can action to open Power Menu or quicly Reboot, Shutdown, and Soft Reboot your phone. (It's only used for those of you who doesn't wants to use their power button or the button are broken)

Auto task is here! All the actions can automatically run or triggered, and what are the functions? The actions can triggered on:

Boot completed (When the device is booted)
Screen turned on or off
Keyguard Unlocked (I don't know what is this about)
Battery full, Battery low or Battery okay

App State

Automatically run any actions when the app Started or Stopped, and also can be triggered when you Focused and Lost focus from the app.

Focused is when the screen stays on the app only, when you open a notification center, the app will Lost focus.

Making Base

Open the app and go to Custom Panels
Click Add and choose 3×3
Open Row 1 and add anything you want in every Columns and this is included to Row 3 Columns (In Row 2 Column 2 you must add the next button function and only Row 2 Column 2, because it will be in the middle. Check the Next Button guide below) After everything set, save the Custom Panels

Trigger

Open the app and go to Gestures
Choose the gestures position as you wish (You will see the bar showed up after enable the gestures position)
After choose the gesture position, you need to choose what the function to triggered. Scroll and find Custom Panels and choose your own Panel

Next and Back Button (This guide is only for you who needs more than 1 panels, if you feel 9 panels is enough so just skip this guide)

Create second Custom Panels, edit all the rows and columns and of course leave the middle one (Row 2 Column 2) and then save
Go back to your first Custom Panels and edit by touch and hold the panel
Open Row 2 Column 2 and add the second Custom Panels that you just created to trigger next to second custom panel
Button Next is done, and now i'll guide you to create the Back button. Go to you second Custom Panels
Open Row 2 Column 2 and add the first custom panel to trigger to first custom panel

So, what can i do with this app?

Actually, i already use this app for so many many things to make me use the phone more easier and the first thing is the Custom Panels. (Before i was just using Shortcuts panel on the side bar, but then i get the idea to create an Assistive Touch panel.

And i have so many functions inside of the panels such as:

Screenshot: Simple Screenshot function to take a screenshot anytime anywhere, but i got to say this functions is not for android 15 and above, cause the app will take screenshot as Region Screenshot and not Fullscreen Screenshot. (You need to crop or cut before save the screenshot.)

Rotate: I don't like that the rotate button automatically showed up if the device is rotated, so i delete the button using module, and i use a manual Rotate button from Edge. (There are still auto rotate functions on the quick settings, but too lazy to open the quick settings 😴)

Kill Foreground App: Kill apps before exit from the app is the only thing that matter to me, because it can increase your battery backup. (Don't forget to kill the apps before you leave the app!)

Clear Running Apps: Clearing apps that running in the background to make your battery live more longer!

Search Settings and find Battery shortcuts (Only for the rom that has a temperature information in stock battery settings)

Game Profiles: I have a habit of setting the volume and brightness to the same value before playing a game, and this app helps me for that.

Create your own profiles like this for example:

Volume: Open a volume panel to set the volume slider. (My volume button was broken, so this app helps me again.)

Find Media Volume and select the Down or Up whatever you want (I'm using Down)

Notify Me: Only used for notification test when i creating a new miui lockscreen theme.

Search Settings and find Battery shortcuts (Only for the rom that has a temperature information in stock battery settings)

Hide Statusbar: When on a voice call in WhatsApp app, the statusbar will never gone even in full screen display and it's annoying, so i just hide the statusbar when on a voice call.

Choose Hide Status Bar and select Toggle (To make the button works for hide and show again)

Hide Navigation Bar: I'm using this for experimental only, like change the system gesture with Edge gestures, but can also be used for you who doesn't like the pill gesture display at the bottom of the screen.

Batch Debloat

Still using debloater apps and modules? Why bother restarting your device to uninstall system apps when you can do it just by copy and pasting text?

Restart device after Debloating apps is necessary, but when you use a magisk module to debloat system apps, of course you need to reboot your device to make the module run and activated.

But you know what? You can debloat apps just by copy a bunch of commands and paste it to terminal emulator apps. All the system apps in the commands will be gone from your face in a seconds!

I've been write them down below for you, so you don't have to bother making it yourself.

Basic Lesson

pm uninstall -k --user 0 [package name]

That is the basic command that used for Debloating apps, it works in any android versions. Still don't understand? Here's the example for uninstalling a MIUI Theme Manager app: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.thememanager.

It's pretty simple right? you just need the basic command, and the package name of the app, that's all. Some people just too lazy to do it so they using magisk modules, but with this method, you can add or remove the app by your own choices.

Make sure you have root access
Copy commands
Open any terminal emulators (I suggest use Rootify, cause it's the smallest terminal emulator ever)
Paste the commands to terminal input
Click Run, wait a seconds and your system apps will be gone

If you want to install them back:

Install Lucky Patcher app
Search by type the app name in the search bar
Select the app
Click Install App for user
Use this only for install them back, and don't debloat any system app using Lucky Patcher, cause it's unsafe. Lucky Patcher using magisk module to debloat apps, but it was like an experimental features, so be careful with it.

Not Recommended

Some apps that doesn't recommend to be Debloated:

Downloads Manager: com.android.providers.downloads | com.android.providers.downloads.ui [Causing Media Picker crashed when moving, copying, deleting files to or from Download folder]
MIUI Find Device: com.xiaomi.finddevice [Will be so many popups that telling your device is broken or something]
Apps Storages [Causing crashed to apps that needs permissions from above apps]

Notes

If your device forced rebooted to recovery and got a “rescue_party” message on logs, your ROMs is not supported to be debloated, uninstall magisk to fix (Use tools from twrp, magisk uninstaller)

Bypassing Wuthering Waves

This page is not about Wuthering Waves gameplay or any content related to the game, i just wanted to give you a Tutorial about how to bypass root detection of Wuthering Waves.

As you all know that Wuthering Waves has a root detection since long time ago, and you still can't play the game even you just unlock device bootloader (Not rooted), i don't find any works tutorial ever than i found the way to bypass it by myself.

Tutorial

The tutorial is too simple, you can whether using Root or Shizuku.

Download and install App Manager
Open App Manger app and search Wuthering Waves, open it
You'll see a bunch of menus, click 3 dots on the top right of the screen and click Magisk DenyList and select all, close it
Next go to Activities and click the 3 dots again
Click Block/unblock trackers, and then click Block
The app will block all the Trackers, and if the Rules is not applied, you need to Apply it manually first by click on 3 dots again and then click Apply rules

That's all, pretty simple isn't it? I've been test this method on Android 13 and Android 15, all of them are working fine. Try it by yourself and enjoy playing Wuthering Waves again.

Guides

Block Trackers

1-Click Ops

Open the app and click the 3 dots on top right corner
Open 1-Click Ops
Click on Block/unblock trackers
The app will ask you if you want to block trackers from system apps or not, you can choose No if you're not sure
After clicked Yes or No the app will show a pop-up for you to choose which apps that you want to block the trackers
And then you can just click Block or Unblock

Specific App

Open the app and select which app you want to block the trackers
Click on Activities in the action bar
Open the 3 dots menu on top right corner and click Block/unblock trackers
And then you'll be asked for Block or Unblock the trackers

Notes

Block trackers may break the app in different ways each apps, and i only found these apps that doesn't recommend to block the trackers

Cats & Soup: Fluffy Town (Crashed when watching ads)
Tiktok (Can't be opened, it will automatically directed to app info)
Zepeto (Can't open feed features, the popup will showed up telling you that something is wrong)

Optimize DEX

Open the app and click the 3 dots on top right corner
Open 1-Click Ops
Click on Perform runtime optimization
I don't know which one are safe, so i choose the default profile speed-profile and left the checked options as it is
Click Run (Don't let the app killed by the system until the process is done)

Notes

Odexing apps can give some apps doesn't work properly, and here's the list of the apps:

WhatsApp (Can't receive any messages in the background, you must open the app to received messages again)
YouCut - Video Editor (Can't access videos or photos at all, even the permission are already granted)

But don't worry, if the app doesn't work properly, you can reset to the default without losing any data of the app

Open the app and select which app you want to block the trackers
Open the 3 dots menu on top right corner and click
Click Optimize
And then click on Reset to default, done

Backup Apps

Open the app and select which app you want to backup
Open the 3 dots menu on top right corner and click Backup/Restore
Now you can choose what do you want or need to backups:

Media files
Data of the app like Swift Backups
Permissions of the apps
Rules (Blocked or disabled activities will be included)
And many more

Batch Actions

You can batch actions by click and hold in the apps list, and this is the actions you can do using batch actions:

Uninstall
Freeze
Force-stop
You can do Block/unblock trackers and Backup/Restore apps from here as well

Disable Networks

You can use this app to disable any apps from using a networks! It's the same like a firewalls functions from LineageOS. So here's the guide:

Open the app and select which app you want to disable networks
Open the 3 dots menu on top right corner and click Net policy
Then check or enable on Reject cellular data or Reject wi-fi data and you can also enable on disable networks to disable networks while you're using Mobile data, Wi-Fi or even Ethernet

Do you know? In Chinese MIUI Theme Store are has an event or highlighted themes with great display and so much different from another themes on the Theme Store itself.

There are an events for wallpapers too, but i'll focused on the Theme cause it's what you like right?

Cause it's just a beginning, there's only a few theme available for now. But if there is or the event has started again i will publish it here for you.
