About DuskBreakers

DuskBreakers is a game launched in December 2021 by Metatheory studio as a sci-fi metaverse that aims to provide players with a GameFi experience. Users must explore a massive dormant alien «Dusk» spaceship in the Earth's orbit to get a valuable "Duskite" resource and fight off extraterrestrial creatures.

Activities

Classic mode - the main DuskBreakers game is a third-person 3D shooter. The player runs through the labyrinths of an alien spaceship, collects resources, loots, and shoots off the aliens. Collected loot has no value on the game yet, but the gameplay looks really good:

Minigames - developers plan to expand the main game with minigames, focused on different mechanics and features. In particular, there are planned mini-games to boost the second NFT collection. But there is no information about future minigames.

You can test the launched minigames and classic game mode on the website. If you connect MetaMask wallet to the browser version of DuskBreakers, it requires the purchase of an NFT, but the FAQ says that you can play via game launcher without NFT.

Webcomics and the Lore - it's a near-game activity of DuskBreakers. You can scroll through 2 pieces of quality comics and read Lore, revealing the backstory and main game aspects on the website. It will prevent you from thinking that DuskBreakers is a typical browser shooter without soul and token.

Actually, for now, DuskBreakers does not differ from the usual browser shooter. The P2E version of the game will be available only in Q3, so there is no internal economy. All we know is that the game will have:

There is so much information in our world that we often don't even try to remember, so our memory worsens. To fix this, the Memoversre developers decided to train people's mnemonic skills with our favorite stimulus - NFT and tokens. But how does it work?

What is Memoversre

Memoversre is a project that helps boost memory and memory skills through game activity. Also, it's metaverse with Play to Earn, Learn to Earn and its new branch - Memorize to Earn mechanics. At first glance, Memoversre looks like a typical building simulator, but it's not so simple.

The developers linked the game and memorization through the mnemonic concept of "Memory Palace". Its essence is to build an imaginary palace with rooms and interiors - each interior object is called Loci. You need to locate Loci in a certain place of interior and link information and object by the association. For example, to memorize a seed phrase, you need to create a room with 12 objects, link each item to a specific word, and line up an imaginary path from the object to the object.

Building such palaces in the imagination is challenging but much easier in the 3D metaverse. So the player not only creates a unique location but puts his information into it. He encrypts the memories in rooms of his 3D Palace on the Unity engine.

BUILD-TO-EARN - Memoverse is an open world map divided into lands with the Memory Palaces of players. The player's task is to build his Palace with different types of NFTs: lands, palaces, rooms, and items (Loci). By combining NFT, you can create unique structures and interiors. MEMORIZE-TO-EARN - You can also play mnemonic tournaments to earn native $MEMO tokens. Players create a $MEMO prize pool, then go to the random Palace (its owner gets a reward for each game). Competitors have time to memorize the location of Loci, after which it is randomly replaced. Players must back all interior objects to start positions as quickly as possible.

PLAY-TO-EARN - Users can attack other players' palaces to steal Loci NFT from the throne room. To do this, you must avoid traps and hit the mnemonic record of the defender (owner). The defender and attacker competition are the same as the memo tournaments. Once for 8 hours, the Palace's defender can move items and create new traps to complicate following attacks.

NFT-marketplace - The project supports EIP-998 and the ERC165 standard - (un)composite NFT, which allows you to split gaming NFT for parts or gather it in one token. The player can sell, for example, an interior object, a set of items, a room, several rooms, or even the entire Palace as 1 NFT. Also, you can sell NFT on external marketplaces and get additional earnings.

Strengths of Memoversre

Demonstration of Product - above, we showed a demo of the Palace editor. On Twitter and the website, you can find videos and screenshots showing elements of gameplay and the game world. Everything looks pretty good.

The original mechanics - P2E becomes trivial for many users, but L2E games are still rare and Memorize to Earn it's perhaps a unique mechanic for now. Memoversre can build a new niche and get all the advantages of a pioneer or take the top position in the L2E sector.

Weaknesses of Memoversre

Specificity - Memoversre forces players to memorize. Of course, you can just stuff your Palace with Loci and mine $MEMO, but to participate in tournaments, attack, or even protect your NFT from other players, you need to understand and use the Memory Palace concept.

Comparatively weak social networks - 54.9K followers on Twitter, 48.6K on Telegram, and 10.7K on Discord - it's not bad results, but the team is not so active. For example, there have been only 66 tweets on Twitter since November 2021. However, the active promotion is still ahead.

Conclusions

Memoversre - is the project that is definitely worth your attention. If not for investment, then for personal use. The project already has a gameplay demo, which looks pretty good and original for P2E. Add to this support of strong partners and an experienced team. It is very likely that Memoversre will run and will run on time.

The other question is, how much do the players need it? Memorize to Earn looks more complicated than shooters, platformers, or Match 3, and even a quality game economy and graphics will not fix it. It may shake the potential popularity and profitability of the project. However, it is worth seeing users' reactions at the active promotion stage.

We always select Tier-1 projects for review, even if it's just another shooter or RPG on the blockchain. But it is not always possible to mark the P2E-project as a "scam" or "gem": some have weak tokenomics, some have a good idea with a bad realization, and sometimes the project's team does not inspire confidence.

Infini Gods are such a controversial project, as it has both a product demo and several serious shortcomings. It is the case when you will need all DYOR skills and the ability to make your own informed decisions.

About Infini Gods

Infini Gods is a multiplatform game project in the Strategy genre that unites several mini-games into a single universe. In fact, they more look like different game modes, focused on different mechanics and various activities, than separate games. According to the developers, they took the best from Civilization, Clash of Clans, and Age of Empires:

Especially for those interested in this kind of earnings, we prepared a step-by-step guide on using the LP. We used 1inch as an example site so, harness the Unicorn, and let's go:

How to find a liquidity pool

Let's start with a simple - choose a suitable pool. You need to go to the 1Inch app and find the tab "Earn" on the top panel and then click on "Pools":

Let's go through the list by columns:

A circle diagram - indicates how many parts you need to split your capital to provide liquidity.

The pool's smart contract address, which allows you to check the authenticity of the pool.

Coins of liquid pair and its share in a pool.

The total amount of provided liquidity in $. The more liquidity, the less the price fluctuation (and therefore impermanent losses).

The amount of liquidity provided by you.

The pool's APY - is the rate that determines your income as a percentage of the amount provided.

When you click on a certain pool, you will see more information, including the amount of exchange and yield over the last 24 hours.

Liquidity providing

Before choosing a pool, note that you should already have on your wallet the coins of a liquid pair (we have BNB and BUSD). So there is two option:

If you do not want to swap - use a filter to find a pool with coins that you already have in your wallet:

If the priority is profit/security - look for the safest/profitable pool, and then swap to get the needed tokens.

When we found a suitable pool:

Voila, you are now a liquidity provider and holder of LP token, which confirms your participation in the pool.

Liquidity removing

If you are not satisfied with the yield or need your coins - you can remove liquidity from the pool.

To do this, click on the pool where you provided liquidity and find the "remove liquidity" button:

how many tokens of each coin you can withdraw;
how many LP tokens do you want to burn
what's the dollar value of the withdrawal.

You can exit the pool completely or only with a part of the tokens - it all depends on how many LP tokens you are ready to burn.

Important: 1Inch pays liquidity rewards only when you leave the pool - the displayed withdrawal amount already includes your income.

So, we have a little loss due to transaction fees and short-term providing in our case. We wish you better investment results!

Do not forget about the liquidity pool's impermanent losses. These include:

Lost profit - when the prices in the LP are lower, the average market value. In such cases, the liquidity provider earns less on its coins than if it just kept them in the wallet.

Volatility - you provided 1ETH with a price of $2,000 in a pair with USDT, and then it dropped to $1,000. As a result, you have provided $4K of liquidity (1 ETH+2k USDT) but will only withdraw $3K. The problem is that if you provided liquidity when the price fell, you would need less capital for the same results.

But in general, these are regular losses for any holder - this is crypto, bro.

We are going deeper into cryptocurrencies' financial and technical principles with each new lesson. Today, we will talk about liquidity and Liquidity pools and how to earn with it. LP it's the key to understanding how DEX works, so you must get it.

What is liquidity and liquid pair?

Liquidity is an asset's feature that allows to exchange it for another asset or commodity. It also matters for crypto, as the liquidity of a token or coin shows how easy it is to buy or sell. The higher the liquidity - the easier exchange.

On trading platforms and exchanges, you can face the term "liquid pair" ("trading pair" for CEX). A liquid pair consists of a coin that you need to sell (or buy) and an asset to be exchanged for.

To understand why you have problems when trying to drain your IDO shitcoins, you need to know how liquid pairs work. So here we are:

On the CEX, liquid pairs are determined by the site. The exchange chooses and adds tokens to the listing and provides liquidity in a certain trading pair. It is important to understand that CEX provides all its liquidity by itself, which gives it the right to decide what token is tradable and what is not.

On most DEX, liquid pairs are formed by the Liquidity Pools (LP). The pool creator sets the tokens for the liquid pair, the transaction fee, and other options.

The LP is the basis of most DEX and one of the main DeFi-lego blocks. If you know how to LP, you are ready to start at DeFi.

How LP works

The LP is a smart contract with a reserve of coins for a liquid pair. When a user wants to sell a token A for a token B, he puts a token A into the Pool and takes a token B from it.

The logical question arises - how is the exchange rate formed in the pool? Rate calculating by an Automatic Market Maker (AMM). AMM is an algorithm that calculates the actual exchange rate based on the balance of supply and demand.

The most common formula for AMM is X x Y = k. A is the First token quantity, b is the Second token quantity, and k is a constant product.

For example, we have the ETH/USDT pool. Suppose that when you create that pool (or deposit to it), the 1 ETH = 2000 USDT. The user must deposit two assets in equal dollar evaluation to provide liquidity. Let's say the pool holds a 5 ETH and 10,000 USDT. Then according to the X x Y = k, the constant product is 50,000.

The market maker must keep the stable constant product value. For example, if the DEX user buys 1 ETH, the pool will remain at 4 ETH and 12,000 USDT. The constant product is 48,000, so AMM needs to raise the exchange rate to back for the 50,000. Then 1 ETH will cost not 2000 USDT but 3125 USDT, then 4 ETH = 12,500 USDT = 50,000 constant product.

In fact, each liquidity pool is an independent market with its supply and demand balance and exchange rate. As you can see from this example, the smaller the liquidity in the pool, the greater the volatility of the liquid pair.

If the pool was not 5, but 50 ETH, the price rising when buying 1 ETH would be not 1125 USDT but only 82 USDT.

Liquidity provider

Since the DEX does not have centralized management, the LP is created decentralized by any user or by DAO, depending on how the platform is managed. You should know the two main LP classifications:

By availability - there is a private or public pool. Anyone can provide liquidity to the public pool and receive rewards based on the common rules. Access to the private pool is possible only with the creator's permission. Creator also sets the conditions for providing liquidity and exchanges.

By token number (AMM type) - pools can include 2 tokens, such as Uniswap or more, as Curve's 3pools or Bancor's OmniPool. Depending on the AMM model used, the liquidity provider must provide all assets in equal stakes (as in our example above) or only one asset.

As a reward for providing liquidity, providers receive a share of the transaction fees, proportional to the value of invested capital. LP tokens confirm your pool share. You can get it when you deposit assets into the pool and must burn it when you want to withdraw liquidity.

Some sites may drop their native tokens to the liquidity providers as incentives. For example, SushiSwap gives SUSHI tokens for providers to raise liquidity.

Next, you can farm your LP tokens to receive other tokens as rewards and put your native tokens to another pool to get more of the LP tokens and again farm them, and... I think you get it. We call it "yield farming".

Impermanent loss

Since each pool is a separate market, the price of the asset in it may differ from the average market value. This problem is solved by arbitration in most cases, but not always.

Impermanent losses are the difference between how much your asset is worth in the LP and how much it would be worth if you just kept it in your wallet.

For example, if 1 ETH was worth 2000 USDT, and then its price increased to 3000 USDT, then hold the Ether in your wallet, you would earn 1000 USDT. But, in the LP, its price may rise only to 2500 USDT due to low demand in the pool. Then you lose 500 USDT compared to the market value.

We call these losses impermanent because traders can still balance the price via arbitration. But it is impermanent as long as your assets are in the LP, but you make the losses permanent when you withdraw your assets.

Civitas review: ready to play Civilization on the Ethereum blockchain?

The P2E-startups level is constantly growing, and it's really great. Although most projects have not been realized yet, their concepts are already flying "to the Moon". Today, we see Civitas as another candidate for the Tier 1 P2E AAA class (sounds like a type of character in MMORPG).

It looks like the creators played Civilization, caught a couple of Pokémon, read about ancient Rome before bed, and decided to unite all this into one Ethereum-based project. Sound interesting, but how will it work?

About Civitas

The developers say Civitas is the first decentralized «Play&Earn" strategy. In fact, that means the world of Civitas is a map with several city-states. Each city has a "tower of influence" (something like a management center) and lands where its citizens live, earn and build.

The most exciting thing is that the DAO will completely control the game, and each city is ruled by its subDAO. That means the citizens of the city really and independently manage it. This unique concept allows building gaming communities not in chats and socials but directly in the game.

Activities

According to the developers, Civitas offers three main activities:

Build - you need to own land in the city to become a citizen. The land product resources and owner can build and arrange his plot as he wants. How exactly it will look and work is not yet clear, but developers promise vast opportunities for customization and upgrade.

Explore - players can not only sit behind the desktop and look at their lands but also walk and collect resources in RL. The game's mobile version uses AR and geolocation to drop prizes, resources, and other items in your area. There will also be single and multiplayer mini-games available.

Earn - there will be utilitarian traded CITI token. Players can earn CITI with various activities. For example, they can find it with AR in their area, sell the land's resources, or stake it in the city's "tower of influence". In addition, each subDAO has a treasury and can pay rewards to citizens.

Citizens can be elected to the local government to solve diplomatic issues and the city's problems but all subDAO members can vote on important issues.

In general, cities can compete with each other for influence and resources. We see the element of Civilization there, but the developers are trying to build gameplay so that cities cooperate rather than compete. For example, each city will have unique resources that they can share. Moreover, individual players can also trade with citizens of their own and other cities.

More about game mechanics

The mobile and desktop Civitas actually have two different gameplay types. Desktop - is the management of the land + participation in the city governance (via "tower of influence"), and mobile - is M2E+AR.

To become a citizen, you have to pay - at least, for NFT-land. However, the developers offer a Free Play option. Users can play without NFT-plot, but they cannot participate in the city governance and earn from Civitas.

All this will be powered by UrealEngine 5. The team promises a mobile and desktop app and web version. There is no gameplay demo, so it is unclear exactly how the gameplay will look. It remains to look at the concept art and hope for the best.

Civitas weakness

Civitas has almost nothing for now. There is no gameplay demo, no tokenomics, no roadmap, and even no game world background. Civitas' single and main weakness is the super-early stage.

Relatively weak social networks: 7.1K followers on Twitter (but there are a lot of influencers and well-known crypto enthusiasts) and 12.7 K on Discord. However, it's OK for pre-early.

Conclusions

Civitas looks interesting and promising, not only as a P2E and the portfolio project but also as a great game. It seems MMO makes one step closer to the real world. Even if you can't earn on Civitas, you can just play it.

But all we see for now - are a few concept arts, ambitions, and strong investors. So it is worth following all the socials and checking the announcements in your free time. The active promotion phase hasn't started yet, so all the rewards are still ahead.
