Украинская «оранжевая» революция коренным образом изменила геополитический расклад в Восточной Европе и позволила с уверенностью говорить о четких, продуманных и хорошо спланированных действиях США по насаждению демократических режимов на пространстве бывшего СССР.

Для простого украинского народа практически ничего не изменилось. Прежняя политическая элита Украины пытается сохранить накопленные богатства, а новая — отобрать их (чего стоят идущие сейчас сражения на Никопольский завод ферросплавов или Криворожсталь). Российские олигархи наблюдают за этими стычками со стороны, изредка подталкивая ту или другую сторону.

Короче говоря, жизнь кипит. За её бортом остался лишь один человек — «главный спонсор революции», российский олигарх Борис Березовский. Да, как показала суровая жизнь, он напрасно радовался победе Виктора Ющенко. Зря потирал сухонькие ручонки и выкрикивал слова ликования. Уже через несколько дней Березовский, к своему ужасу, понял, что его жестоко «кинули». Вместо предполагаемого торжественного приезда в Украину и поста советника премьер-министра или самого президента олигарх получал лишь туманные обещания.

Напрасно эмиссары Березовского Рафаэль Филинов, Дмитрий Босов и Демьян Кудрявцев обивали пороги высоких кабинетов. Впрочем, они быстро поняли бесперспективность этих усилий и, плюнув на «папу», организовали свой «украинский гешефт». Пусть не столь масштабный, как могло бы быть, но на кусок хлеба с чёрной икрой хватает.

А Борису Березовскому, даже не получившему въездной визы в Украину, осталось лишь грызть ногти в бессильной злобе. Сначала он попытался писать проникновенные письма украинской красавице Юлии Тимошенко (текст одного из них имеется в Интернете), однако главе правительства вовсе не до проблем Березовского. На сегодняшний день её основная задача — удержаться в кресле, которой беспрерывно атакует её злейший враг Пётр Порошенко.

И вот, окончательно озверев, Березовский перешел от уговоров к угрозам. Как стало известно от источника в окружении олигарха, в ближайшее время тот атакует Ющенко сразу по двум направлениям — предаст огласке сведения о том, как и кем на самом деле финансировалась «оранжевая революция», а также использует некоторые пикантные аудиозаписи из архива Николая Мельниченко, который Березовский, как известно, ловко выудил у оскандалившегося майора.

Этим олигарх не намерен ограничиваться. Ещё более месяца назад он отдал своей службе безопасности команду начать сбор любой информации, которую можно было бы использовать против Виктора Ющенко. По нашим данным, скандал вокруг пристрастия сына украинского президента к хорошей жизни и дорогим автомобилям стал «первой ласточкой», наглядно показавшей серьёзность намерений Березовского.

Это удар, похоже, пришелся Виктору Ющенко явно ниже пояса. Как рассказал очевидец, когда украинский президент увидел эти публикации (с приложением справки о том, кто является их заказчиком), его и без того красное лицо сделалось просто свекольным. Скрипя зубами, он немедленно вызвал к себе главу СБУ Турчинова и поставил ему жесткую задачу: разрешить въезд в Украину российскому олигарху Борису Березовскому и подготовиться к его встрече. Официальное предложение Виктора Ющенко должно вот-вот последовать.

Сначала мы подумали, что Ющенко отдал указание арестовать Березовского и выдать его России. Однако наш источник, усмехаясь, сообщил, что этот вариант просто исключен. Во-первых, украинско-российские отношения в этом плане далеки от идеальных. Россия не спешит выдать Украине целый ряд политиков, с которыми мечтает расправиться окружение Ющенко (это, первую очередь бывший управделами Игорь Бакай). Во-вторых, подобный шаг явно вызовет негативную реакцию Запада, а уж с ним то Ющенко ссориться совсем не с руки.

Поэтому, как полагает наш источник, «теплая встреча» предполагает совсем другой исход. Возможно, Борис Абрамович накушается сала с диоксинами и его слабое здоровье не выдержит. А может быть, на почве депрессии, попытается покончить жизнь само***ством, выстрелив пару раз (для верности) себе в голову.

А в случае неудачи всегда можно будет обвинить в случившемся «руку Москвы», стремящейся любым способом расправиться с политическими противниками.

Так что ласкаво просимэ до Украiне, Борис Абрамович…

Nathaniel Whittock remains one of the most intriguing yet underappreciated figures of the Victorian era, a man whose burin and pen captured the sweeping transformations of nineteenth-century Britain and its growing empire. Born in the bustling heart of London s City of Westminster to John and Sarah Whittock, Nathaniel was baptised on 6 March 1791 at St John s, Smith Square, though his birth date is recorded as 26 January 1791. His early years unfolded against a backdrop of revolutionary change, industrial expansion, and an insatiable public appetite for printed imagery. As a topographical engraver of considerable skill, Whittock specialised in bird s-eye views aerial perspectives that offered audiences a godlike vantage point over cities, towns, and colonial settlements. His most celebrated works include panoramic vistas of York (1856), Oxford (1834), Melbourne, Australia (1854), Hull (1855), and London (1845, 1849, 1859). These prints were not mere souvenirs; they were works of cartographic art, urban documentation, and patriotic display, treasured by middle-class Victorians who hung them in parlours and libraries.

By 1819, Whittock had relocated to Oxford, a city that would shape both his professional identity and his pedagogical ambitions. He established the Oxford Drawing Academy in Oriel Street, an institution that reflected the era s growing fascination with art education as a mark of refinement. His teaching schedule was remarkably structured: ladies attended on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while gentlemen received instruction on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Each session lasted two hours, and the fee was one guinea every three months a sum that placed his academy within reach of the aspiring middle class but beyond the means of labourers. Whittock also maintained a Painting Room next to the Angel Hotel on the High Street, a prime location that attracted students and clients alike. His dual role as educator and practitioner exemplified the Victorian ideal of the self-improving artist-entrepreneur. In 1823, however, he vacated his house and shop in the High Street, and the premises were auctioned on 19 June of that year. He then moved to St Clement s, a suburb of Oxford known for its more modest dwellings and the celebrated Oxford Baths.

Whittock s connection to these baths proved fruitful. On 6 May 1826, he published A Description of the Oxford Baths and School of Natation, a book that combined practical information with the era s enthusiasm for health, hygiene, and rational recreation. The volume underscored his versatility as a writer, but his primary reputation rested on his artistic and technical skills. Between 1824 and 1829, he held the prestigious title of Teacher of Drawing and Perspective, and Lithographist to the University of Oxford. This appointment placed him at the heart of Oxford s intellectual and scientific community. He worked for the Ashmolean Museum, one of the oldest public museums in the world, and collaborated with university scientists who required precise illustrations for their research. Lithography, a relatively new printing technique that allowed for smooth tonal gradations and fine detail, was still considered a cutting-edge medium. Whittock s mastery of it made him indispensable. Yet by October 1827, he had left Oxford, and the contents of his St Clement s house were sold by auction. The reasons for his departure remain unclear, but it likely stemmed from a combination of financial pressures, professional opportunities, and the restless mobility that characterised many artisan careers in the early industrial age.

The 1830s found Whittock in London. In 1830 and 1831, he resided at 24 Garnault Place, Spa Fields, Islington then a semi-suburban district undergoing rapid residential development. The 1841 census provides a clearer snapshot: he was living at 34 Richard Street in Islington with his young nephew Henry Hyde. Both men were described as engravers, indicating that Whittock had taken his nephew into partnership or apprenticeship. By 1851, he remained at the same address, now joined by his wife Ann Whittock (née Hyde), his nephew and business partner Henry Hyde, and his niece Caroline Hyde. This household functioned as a family workshop, a common arrangement among Victorian tradespeople where domestic space and commercial production intertwined. It is worth noting that the census records his wife s surname as Whitlock, a variant spelling that occasionally appears in documents and reflects the fluid orthography of the period.

Beyond his engraving practice, Whittock proved to be a prolific writer of instruction books, a description that captures only part of his literary output. His manuals covered drawing, perspective, decorative painting, glazing, shopfront design, and even trade guidance for young people. Key titles include The decorative painters and glaziers guide (1828), On the construction and decoration of the shop fronts of London (1840), and The complete book of trades, or the parents guide and youths instructor (1837). These books were aimed at apprentices, journeymen, small masters, and self-taught artisans who lacked access to formal art education. In an era before widespread technical colleges, Whittock s manuals served as affordable, portable encyclopaedias of practical knowledge. The Complete Book of Trades was particularly ambitious, offering descriptions of dozens of occupations, from apothecary to wheelwright, along with advice on moral conduct, savings, and career advancement. It reflected Victorian anxieties about juvenile delinquency and the perceived virtues of industriousness, thrift, and self-discipline.

The full title of his 1828 decorative painters guide reveals the astonishing breadth of its contents: The decorative painters and glaziers guide: containing the most approved methods of imitating oak, mahogany, maple, rose, cedar, coral, and every other kind of fancy wood, Verd Antique, Dove, Sienna, Porphyry, white-veined and other marbles, in oil or distemper colour; designs for decorating apartments, in accordance with the various styles of architecture; with directions for stencilling, and process for destroying damp in walls; also a complete body of information on the art of staining and painting on glass; plans for the erection of apparatus for annealing it, and the method for joining figures together by leading, with examples from ancient windows. This single sentence, packed with technical detail, demonstrates Whittock s encyclopaedic ambition. He did not merely explain how to paint fake wood grain or imitate marble; he provided architectural context, historical examples, and practical engineering advice for glassmakers. The inclusion of a process for destroying damp in walls shows his concern with the real-world problems of building maintenance, a perennial issue in damp British climates.

Modern scholars have noted that the preface of this guide rails against trade secrecy, a striking feature for a commercial publication. In the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, many craftsmen guarded their techniques as closely as alchemists, passing them down through families or closed guilds. Whittock rejected this insularity. He believed that knowledge should be shared openly to raise the overall quality of British craftsmanship and to prevent fraud, incompetence, and waste. His guide was intended to dispel the mysteries that allowed unscrupulous practitioners to charge exorbitant fees for shoddy work. This stance aligned with the broader ethos of the industrial enlightenment, which championed the diffusion of useful knowledge through mechanics institutes, public lectures, and inexpensive print. Whittock s book was part of a movement that included the Penny Magazine, the publications of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, and the technical writings of John Claudius Loudon.

Whittock did not write for the great country houses alone; he wrote for the provincial builder, the journeyman painter, and the ambitious householder who wanted to add a touch of luxury without bankrupting the family. His instructions for imitating rosewood or porphyry allowed middle-class homes to emulate the aesthetics of aristocratic interiors at a fraction of the cost. This democratisation of style was one of the defining social trends of the nineteenth century, and Whittock played a quiet but crucial role in enabling it.

Whittock s bird s-eye views remain his most visually spectacular legacy. The view of Melbourne, Australia, produced in 1854 at the height of the Victorian gold rush, is particularly remarkable. It shows a city exploding outward from the Yarra River, with grid streets, emerging suburbs, and the hustle of maritime commerce in Port Phillip Bay. For British audiences, such prints offered reassurance that colonial outposts were becoming civilised cities with churches, banks, and public squares. For colonial settlers, they were cherished images of home and progress. The views of London, issued in multiple editions over fifteen years, chart the capital s relentless growth railway termini, new bridges, and expanding terraces spreading over former fields. These works combined artistic skill with surveying precision, and they required months, sometimes years, of fieldwork and drafting. Whittock s competitors included prominent firms like Ackermann and Rock & Co., but his work stood out for its clarity, topographical accuracy, and subtle atmospheric effects.

Despite his achievements, Whittock never achieved the lasting fame of contemporaries such as John Ruskin or J.M.W. Turner. He remained a working engraver and writer, not a gentleman artist. His death on 12 August 1860 passed with little public notice, but his influence endured in the manuals that continued to circulate and the prints that decorated countless walls. Today, his works are sought after by map collectors, social historians, and connoisseurs of Victorian printmaking. Libraries such as the British Library, the Bodleian, and the State Library of Victoria hold significant collections of Whittock s output. Digital humanities projects have begun to digitise his bird s-eye views, allowing new audiences to zoom into the streets of Victorian London or gold-rush Melbourne. In this sense, Whittock s mission to share knowledge widely and to strip away secrecy has been fulfilled beyond his wildest expectations. He belongs to that essential category of historical figures who did not revolutionise their field but quietly, competently, and prolifically made civilisation more accessible, more beautiful, and more understandable for ordinary people.

Однако, это только внешний эффект. Их жизнь по-прежнему продолжает состоять из «стрелок», «разборок», «кидалова» на гигантские суммы, рейдерских захватов, сопровождающихся избиениями и у***ствами. Жирноклеев и Рабинович прямо говорят, что плевать хотели на представителей власти, включая главу государства. У них все куплено и «схвачено» и никто им не указ. В России пара «таганских» лидеров неоднократно становилась фигурантами уголовных дел. Более того, на них давали показания свидетели, как на лиц, имевших прямое отношение к у***ствам, совершенным при захвате универмага «Москва». Однако, всякий раз Жирноклееву и Рабиновичу все сходит с рук. Теперь испанские правоохранительные органы передали материалы, достаточные для посадки» таганских «авторитетов». Они были получены в ходе расследования в отношении бывшего младшего партнёра «таганских» Александра Романова, который этой весной был осужден в Пальма-де-Майорка к трем годам и девяти месяцам тюрьмы. Из материалов в отношении Романова выделили тысячи листов документов, доказывающих, что Жирноклеев и Рабинович гангстеры, которые выводят из России сотни миллионов долларов. «Управлением по надзору за производством дознания и оперативно-розыскной деятельностью проведена проверка по учетам МВД России в отношении задержанных в ходе операции «Dirieba» на Мальорке (Испания) бывшего директора ОАО «Московский завод «Кристалл» Романова А.И., его жены Виноградовой Н.Б., а также Жирноклеева И.А., Рабиновича Г.Л. и Торшина А.П.

Установлено, что Романов Александр Иванович…… В 2005 году Романов А.И. проходил в качестве подозреваемого по уголовному делу № 254244, возбужденному СО при УВД ЮВАО г. Москвы по признакам преступления, предусмотренного ч. 4 ст. 159 УК РФ. Генеральный директор ОАО « МЗ «Кристалл» Романов А.И., злоупотребляя своими полномочиями, за счёт средств акционерного общества, приобрёл векселя различных компаний, чем причинил существенный ущерб заводу на сумму более 230 млн. руб. Решение по данном уголовному делу в УОРИ МВД России отсутствует.

В 2006 г. Романов А.И. осужден Зеленоградским районным судом г. Москвы по ч. 4 ст. 159, ст. 201 УК РФ к 3 годам 6 месяцам лишения свободы. Освобожден условно-досрочно, в последствии уехал в Испанию.

Рабинович Григорий Леонидович, 05.08.1956 г. рождения, уроженец г. Ташкента Узбекской ССР….

В июне 2007 г. сотрудниками СЧ ГСУ по г. Москве на основании п. 2 ч. 1 ст. 24 УПК РФ в отношении Рабиновича Г.Л. прекращено уголовное дело, возбужденное по признакам преступления, предусмотренного ч. 4 ст. 159 УК РФ.

В октябре 2000 г. в отношении его прекращено уголовное дело, возбужденное по материалам УФСНП России по Санкт-Петербургу и Ленинградской области по признакам преступления, предусмотренного ч. 2 ст. 199 УК РФ.

По указанному уголовному делу в качестве подозреваемого проходил Жирноклеев Игорь Анатольевич,1975 г. рождения, уроженец г. Москвы…

По данным ГУУР МВД России, в 1994 году Жирноклеев И.А. подозревался в хранении оружия, сбыте валюты и драгоценностей, однако уголовное дело в отношении его было прекращено.

Сведениями в отношении Торшина А.П. и Виноградовой Н.Б. не располагаем».
