More and more projects today are looking for transparent and reliable ways to collaborate with authors on X. This is exactly why Rally was created — a protocol designed to simplify the process of rewarding genuine, verifiable publications. It ensures that projects can trust their funds are not wasted but spent on proven contributions. The logic of the system is built to minimize manipulation and manual arrangements — saving both budget and effort. All actions are recorded on-chain, without intermediaries and with clear, transparent rules.

On the homepage, this is stated very clearly: anyone with an X account and their own audience can participate and earn, while verification and payouts happen automatically through GenLayer smart contracts. The workflow is also described: you join a campaign, complete a mission on X, the system evaluates the result, and transfers the reward. Everything is transparent!

Now let’s take a closer look: what the protocol is, why it was created, how the evaluation system works, what roles participants can take, how blockchain is used, and what is important to know before getting started. Below is an overview based entirely on Rally’s official materials.

What is Rally

Rally is an on-chain marketing protocol for X. Projects launch campaigns with missions, and authors participate through tweets, threads, and replies. Content and engagement are then verified using several AI models and strictly defined rules. Rewards are distributed automatically by smart contracts. The core idea is highly practical: pay for proven contributions, not for promises or flashy price tags. The website states clearly that the protocol is open to anyone with a voice and a community. Participation is free — all you need is an X account and a wallet to receive rewards.

On August 26, 2025, Rally’s blog published an introductory article where the team explained why the classic model of closed deals, informal agreements in chats, and reliance on superficial metrics like follower counts does not work. Rally offers an alternative: programmable participation rules, transparent quality assessment, and on-chain settlements. The article also notes that at the end of each period, campaign scores are aggregated into a unit of account called Rally Points, which serve as the basis for payouts according to the campaign’s rules.

Who is behind this

The service is provided by Rally Foundation. On all pages, this organization is listed as the site owner and the one setting the terms. In the documentation, the combination of Rally and GenLayer is repeatedly mentioned. The first part (Rally) is responsible for the application, interface, EVM contracts, and distribution of funds in campaigns. The second part consists of GenLayer smart contracts, which verify that content complies with the rules, assess quality and engagement, and help reach consensus on evaluations. In the documentation, this is described as “built on GenLayer.”

“Multi-LLM Consensus: Submissions are verified by multi-LLM consensus on GenLayer”

How Rally works inside

The website has a short section that outlines the flow of actions. There are no applications or manual moderation. First, a campaign is selected, then a post is published on X, after which GenLayer smart contracts check whether the author has met the conditions. If so, the payment is sent on-chain. The same page also explains which technologies are used: GenLayer for evaluation and verification, LayerZero for omnichain reward routing, Base for low-cost and fast settlements, and ZKsync for scalability and security.

The blog provides a more detailed scenario. The application functions as a marketplace. A project sets the budget, duration, AI knowledge base, and mission requirements. Creators choose missions and publish content. The system evaluates each submission and assigns campaign points. Payouts happen automatically, and all the rules are visible in advance, which reduces misunderstandings between the parties.

AI‑Verified Scoring: Multiple models independently score every submission, eliminating single points of failure and preventing gaming.

Programmable Targeting: Projects precisely control participation through open access, verified-only, follower thresholds, or curated whitelists.

Onchain Settlement (via Intelligent Contracts): Smart contracts automatically release funds only for verified content, with every payout and metric recorded onchain.

Multi‑Chain: Campaigns run seamlessly across Base and zkSync Era, with more chains coming soon.

Scalability: Scale from 10 to 10,000 creators without additional coordination overhead, as the protocol handles everything automatically.

Post Evaluation and Reward Distribution

This part is the most interesting. The documentation explains in detail how contribution is calculated. First, a publication goes through four entry checks. The content must match the campaign theme, be factually correct, comply with the rules, and maintain originality and the author’s voice. If it is not counted at any of these thresholds, the work is not counted. If it passes, a quality multiplier is applied, which depends on the average scores across these four thresholds.

Next come the softer metrics and live signals. Quality includes engagement potential and the technical quality of the text. Dynamic metrics include retweets, likes, replies, reply quality as assessed by AI, and the number of followers of those who reply. These values are normalized, with engagement counts using a logarithmic scale to penalize empty manipulation and prevent runaway advantage from sheer volume. The weights (0–1) of each metric are visible in the campaign brief, so the author understands exactly what matters.

If a campaign is split into several periods, engagement refresh is available. In the next period, the author locks in the only growth of reactions relative to the previous point rather than summing everything from scratch. This prevents double counting and closes many loopholes. Finally, a distribution curve is applied, which determines the concentration of rewards. The alpha parameter controls this curve and is written directly into the formula.

In the blog, these principles are restated in plain language: first quality thresholds, then the combination of a fixed part for content value and a dynamic part for real audience reaction. Engagement refresh in new periods ensures that only growth is counted. Everything is transparent and reproducible.

Roles & Use Scenarios

1) Author
Entry is simple: connect your X account and wallet, choose a campaign with suitable missions, and publish content. The system checks compliance and assigns points automatically. The FAQ states participation is free (no access fees)—you only need connected accounts. Read the campaign brief: it shows metric weights and quality thresholds.
2) Project
Creates the campaign, sets the reward pool, uploads a knowledge base for AI, configures metric weights and the distribution curve. The protocol then collects submissions, evaluates them, and distributes payouts. During alpha, a partner program offers zero fees, token matching, and priority placements.

Multichain Architecture

The technical docs outline the overall plan. EVM contracts handle campaign creation, escrow of funds, distribution, X-identity verification, and multichain deployment. GenLayer smart contracts perform text evaluation, engagement verification, anti-spam, and dynamic reward calculations. State is synchronized across networks via a LayerZero-based bridge. This setup combines familiar EVM security with machine evaluation where regular contracts fall short, enabling richer logic.

On the homepage there’s a dedicated tech section listing GenLayer, LayerZero, Base, and ZKsync—not just logos. For participants, low transaction costs and the ability to move rewards across networks matter; for projects, scalability and protocol-level verifiability are key.

Rally Points & How Calculations Work

During alpha, rewards are accounted in Rally Points—a settlement unit that campaign points convert into at the final stage. Accruals are made at the end of each period, and the rules live in smart contracts and are visible upfront. Campaign rewards may be paid in different tokens (e.g., USDC or a project token), depending on the organizer’s choice.

Referral System

The logic is simple. You earn 10% of invited authors’ campaign points—and this applies to every campaign they run, not just the first. For invited projects, you earn 10% of the Rally Points distribution allocated to their campaigns. Referral links are taken from the waitlist, and attribution is permanent. This mechanism rewards those who grow the interface between the protocol and real users.

RLY Token & Its Role

The site outlines RLY’s utility functions. It is used to unlock higher-tier campaigns, enable future staking and veRLY governance, provide voting rights over reward distribution and protocol upgrades, is not an investment instrument (no profit/share rights), and its value is tied to participation in the protocol.

Rules & Restrictions

There are a few things worth knowing in advance. The terms include a section on prohibited regions and an explicit ban on using VPNs to bypass geoblocks. If you’re in a restricted territory, you cannot use the service.

Rally does not custody your funds or transact on your behalf. All transactions occur on the relevant network, are irreversible, and you connect your own wallet—so responsibility lies with you. The platform may charge service fees, and network fees are also on your side. Issues at the blockchain/network level are part of the user-accepted risk.

Another important point concerns Rally’s role between projects and authors. Unless Rally itself is the campaign owner, it is not a party to your private terms. Compliance with specific requirements and advertising rules (including disclosure guidelines) rests with the campaign parties—consistent with a neutral protocol rather than an agency.

Why It Matters for Authors

Rally values not just audience size but substance and real interaction. The FAQ highlights fair scoring for smaller accounts with genuine engagement. In plain terms, a smart thread with relevant reader reactions can beat a hollow promo post with a hundred thousand silent followers. For creators, this is a predictable way to earn from your voice and expertise—without waiting for closed lists.

In practice, a simple discipline helps: read the campaign brief before you tweet (it shows sources and what the system looks at). Keep a dialogue in replies—both reply quality and the audience of repliers matter. If a campaign runs in periods, refresh engagement so only growth is counted. And don’t skimp on meaning: context-free reposts contribute little to quality, which is the foundation of final distribution.

Why It Matters for Projects

Teams hate paying for noise. Rally makes it predictable: you set metric weights and choose a distribution curve. Want a fast sprint that favors top performers? Use a more concentrated curve. Need broad community education? Choose a more even profile. Payouts follow clear rules, and on-chain attribution simplifies reporting and internal analysis. There’s also an Alpha Partner Program: zero fees during alpha, token matching, promo priority, and the chance to influence the roadmap. For new protocols, it’s a way to arrive early and set campaign standards alongside the Rally team.

Short Roadmap & Current Stage

Rally is in private alpha: access opens in waves for active waitlist users, per priorities explained on the blog. After a few weeks, the plan is to open beta. This phase includes access points (score) and community activities.

Rally rewards real contribution, not loudness. Authors write with purpose and engage; projects define clear rules and honest priorities. The protocol handles the rest. If you’ve wanted marketing without back-room deals, this is where rules live in code and settlement lives on-chain—available now via the waitlist and alpha, with early bonuses, a partner program, and a clear access mechanism.

Charts have a life of their own, blocks tick in a steady rhythm — and what follows isn’t a tech sermon, but a clear, human story: where the energy around the project comes from and why Monad is gaining momentum, what’s already live in the testnet and ready to try, which teams are building here, and why the whole thing feels like a regular web app — on-chain doesn’t get in the way or slow you down.

Monad is an L1 that fully understands the same smart contracts as Ethereum (EVM bytecode). The architecture is tuned for speed: transactions are processed in parallel, block production and transaction execution run on separate tracks, the node agreement algorithm is a robust BFT, and state lives in a fast database. The official site puts it plainly: accelerate EVM without sacrificing decentralization. The numbers are straightforward too: around 10,000 transactions per second, blocks every ~400–500 ms, and finality in ~800–1000 ms (the moment after which a transaction can’t be rolled back). Fees are literally pennies. In practice it feels like this: click — and you almost immediately see the result. That’s not just copy — our node metrics and the cadence of blocks line up with it.

Monad doesn’t change the development language: it stays fully EVM-compatible. Developers use familiar tools and move contracts without rewrites. For users it’s transparent: the same MetaMask and the same familiar steps. The barrier to entry is lower and experiments are cheaper. As validators, we see it in the growing number of first deployments on the testnet and in overall network activity.

The public Monad testnet is a safe playground: add the network to your wallet, grab tokens from the faucet, and go. It’s built so developers can shake out logic and the community can try dApps before mainnet. The testnet landing page covers what it is, why it exists, and where to click. The faucet has sensible anti-spam rules (minimum balance and history on Ethereum) and an important note: test tokens aren’t money — they’re for testing projects in the ecosystem. From a UX perspective, it’s the best way in: jump in, click around, get a feel — and nobody’s budget gets burned.

Connected to the testnet? Start with 2048 right on the blockchain. Slide the tiles — the response is instant: moves go to the network, blocks keep clicking by, and the interface doesn’t stutter. It’s a simple sanity check: if a basic game doesn’t lag even with rapid moves, the foundation’s solid. Then it’s easy to map that feeling to real scenarios: a DeFi swap, minting an NFT, placing a wager in a game — the same smoothness and quick confirmation. Want a two-minute way to feel Monad in practice? 2048 is the short route.

It’s not a desert in the testnet anymore — it’s a living city. You can already see bridges and wallets (Orbiter, Owlto, Backpack/Bitget), DEXes and aggregators (Ambient, Ammalgam, Bebop, iZUMi, Bean Exchange), lending and staking (Curvance, Kintsu, aPriori Staking, SHMONAD), games and fun (monad.fantasy.top, AICraft.fun), live NFT mints, analytics and explorers (MonVision), utilities like the Monad Faucet, and reputation services (repute.monadscore.xyz). New names are popping up too — Magma, Mon AI, and more. That matters for mainnet launch: when the switch flips, users won’t be staring at empty screens — the basic building blocks are already in place, and the list grows week by week.

The ecosystem is pushed forward not just by teams, but by support programs: Monad Madness — a global pitch competition with prizes and investor access; Mach — a short accelerator for early projects; Monad Momentum — aimed at apps already running in the testnet and close to mainnet (focus on retention and revenue, not vanity metrics). The descriptions say it directly: they’re looking for teams with a testnet product and near-term mainnet plans.

Three things point to mainnet being close: notes in the docs marked “pre-mainnet” (for example, support for EIP-7702), a fully set-up real-time developer infrastructure (subscriptions, streams, network summary pages), and a spelled-out “day one” validator model (roughly 150 by stake expected). That’s not a date, but it’s a very workable roadmap.

What the testnet gives you in practice. Latency is low: interfaces don’t hang, and long action chains flow as a single stream. Fees and gas rules are tuned to feel “like real life,” without the pain; they’ll be refined again before mainnet. Data comes as streams (subscriptions/WebSocket), not by polling every few seconds — with thousands of transactions per second, polling simply can’t keep up. For developers the takeaway is simple: the EVM stack is familiar, and data handling is modern, real-time, with proper indexers.

Another plus: the client code is open source. That’s an invitation for audits and for external tooling. Paired with the “How Monad Works” breakdowns (monad-bft, monad-execution, monad-rpc; two-round finality; protection against tail forks; delivery of large blocks), the idea is simple: less marketing, more engineering. As validators, that gives us peace of mind: we see the repos, understand how things are built, and can judge whether the system holds real-world load.

Beyond code, the ecosystem’s “scaffolding” matters too: jobs, resident programs, hackathons. The project catalog already includes teams preparing to launch on day one of mainnet — for example, the Perpl perp exchange. That’s a strong signal for us: node requirements are reasonable, fees are low, latency is small — the app economics make sense. We trust these active teams and their progress more than a wall of logos.

If you want the tech in one breath: MonadBFT provides fast, predictable finality; RaptorCast delivers big blocks via a tree with erasure coding; asynchronous execution keeps heavy computation off the critical path; and MonadDB speeds up state access and lets most of it live on SSDs. All of this is well-documented in the official materials. For users it means smooth interactions; for validators it means resilience.

We’re not guessing the mainnet date — it hasn’t been announced. But the signs of readiness are plentiful: a stable testnet with a faucet and clear guides, an open client, programs for teams that are nearly ship-ready, and documentation on how the validator set forms on day one. If you’re a user, it’s all familiar: the same wallets and flows, without long pauses and with penny-level fees. If you’re building a product, it’s the same EVM, just easier to operate: higher throughput, quick finality, real-time data streams. If you run nodes, nothing is hidden behind marketing — it’s explained and verifiable.

Want to try it now? Add the Monad Testnet to your wallet, grab tokens from the faucet, open the ecosystem catalog and pick a starting point — a wallet, DEX/AMM, aggregator, game, or analytics. A couple of clicks, and it’s clear why it feels like on-chain without the waiting. After that, it’s just a matter of mainnet arriving — and from the official materials, the ecosystem looks ready on the starting blocks.

Somnia’s mainnet is officially live, marking a new era of blockchain performance and real-time, fully onchain applications at a new level. As a validator, we’re proud to have supported the record-breaking testnet and to now be securing mainnet.

During its six-month testnet, Somnia processed more than 2 billion transactions, including a single-day record of 80 million EVM transactions — proving that high-performance blockchain infrastructure is possible. Shoutout to all testnet validators and Somnia’s tech team for making this milestone possible.

Why Somnia Matters

Somnia is the fastest and most cost-effective EVM Layer-1 blockchain today:

⚡ 1M+ transactions per second

⏱️ Sub-second finality

💸 Sub-cent fees

This level of performance enables fully onchain, real-time experiences that go far beyond DeFi — think large-scale multiplayer games, dynamic social platforms, or even AI-driven apps. and much more.
As validators, we support networks that push boundaries and bring new users to Web3.

Somnia’s growth goes beyond raw performance. The ecosystem is expanding rapidly through grants, accelerator programs, and low-code developer tools like Somnia Builder, making it easier than ever for builders to bring new ideas onchain. This momentum is further reinforced by a major financial boost of up to $270M in combined capital from Improbable, M², and the Somnia Foundation, with backing from world-class investors including a16z, SoftBank, Mirana, SIG, Digital Currency Group, and CMT Digital. Together, these resources ensure that Somnia is not only technically advanced but also well-funded and developer-friendly, setting the stage for large-scale adoption.

Innovations That Power Somnia

Somnia reimagined blockchain design to meet massive scaling demands:

MultiStream Consensus – Each validator maintains its own data chain, finalized by a separate layer. This keeps throughput high even when traffic surges.

Accelerated Sequential Execution – EVM bytecode is compiled to optimized native code, maximizing CPU efficiency for unmatched speed.

IceDB (Custom Database) – Provides deterministic performance with ultra-fast reads (15–100 nanoseconds) and efficient state management.

Advanced Compression & BLS Aggregation – Reduces bandwidth by compressing transaction streams and aggregating signatures into one.

Together, these innovations allow Somnia to operate near the physical limits of bandwidth while maintaining decentralization.

In more simple words it means:
Many lanes instead of one → Like a highway with extra lanes, Somnia can handle huge traffic without slowing down.

Super-fast engine → It makes every computer work at full power, so transactions finish instantly.

Smarter memory → A custom database remembers and retrieves things quickly, no matter how busy it gets.

Lightweight communication → It packs data efficiently, like zipping files, so the network stays fast and smooth.

Together, this means Somnia is fast, cheap, and reliable, even when millions of people are using it at the same time.

A Rapidly Growing Ecosystem

Somnia already has 70+ partners building across gaming, DeFi, AI, and social applications ensure interoperability and developer accessibility.
Collaborations with:

LayerZero technology that enables applications to move data across blockchains uniquely supporting censorship-resistant messages and permissionless development through immutable smart contracts

Sequence is the modular crypto infrastructure stack that unifies wallets, 1-click cross-chain payments, and real-time data layers across EVMs

Ankr Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) of nodes ensures Ankr's clients always have the shortest roundtrip path for RPC requests, providing fast Web3 experiences no matter where users are.

DIA oracles power on-chain use cases with verifiable data feeds for any digital or real-world asset.

Thirdweb Deploy onchain apps fast, monetize early, and scale without limits.

Google Cloud is a suite of cloud computing services offered by Google that provides a series of modular cloud services including computing, data storage, data analytics, and machine learning, alongside a set of management tools.

Fireblocks is a platform for the custody, transfer, and settlement of digital assets. Built to handle cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and new web3 applications, it provides financial institutions, exchanges, and blockchain businesses with a secure way to store and move assets.

BitGo a leading digital asset platform providing institutional-grade security and regulated custody solutions. They now offer comprehensive services including custody, trading, staking, and settlement across multiple networks.

Projects like Sparkball, Variance, and Maelstrom highlight Somnia’s focus on large-scale, player-owned experiences, while creator platforms and financial apps expand its utility.
Sparkball is a fast-paced, 4v4 sports brawler developed by Opti Games, featuring experience from studios like Riot, Blizzard, and EA. Often described as “League of Legends meets Rocket League,” it blends tactical team play with adrenaline-driven action in short, intense matches lasting around 10–15 minutes. Sparkball's competitive presence includes tournaments with esports organizations like G2, Fnatic, and Cloud9.

Variance, developed by Realm Studios, is an ambitious anime-style roguelite RPG that blends platforming action with rich storytelling. Players can try the game directly in a web browser, while future releases are planned for platforms like Steam, Epic Games, and mobile.

Maelstrom is an online, multiplayer naval battle-royale set in a stormy fantasy world. Players command customizable warships—each with distinct abilities, armor, and weaponry—and engage in fast-paced combat across dangerous, monster-infested seas. The goal? Outsmart opponents, collect treasure, and stay afloat while battling foes and sea beasts. It represents a hybrid model, where mainstream players enjoy traditional gameplay and Web3 gamers benefit from blockchain-native features.

Lowering Barriers for Builders

Building in Web3 is complex, but Somnia Builder simplifies it. With this low-code platform, developers can:

Deploy assets and game logic without writing custom smart contracts

Integrate into Unity, Unreal, TypeScript, and React Native

Onboard players with simple logins and gasless transactions

This makes it possible for Web2 developers to transition seamlessly into Web3, enabling mainstream adoption.

What’s Next

With mainnet live, Somnia plans to expand its validator set, roll out more performance tools, and continue onboarding high-impact projects.

As a validator that has been part of Somnia from the earliest testnet stages to now onboarding on mainnet, we’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate alongside such a strong group of fellow validators (B-Harvest, Xangle, Iskra, InfStones, SNZPool, Nansen, BCW, TTT VN, Pier Two, ValiDAO, Moonlet, 01node, Kiln, Meria, ContributionDAO, Everstake, Swyke, Stakin, Nethermind, Chainbase, Republic, Allnodes, Tranchess, Validation Cloud, Artifact, DSRV, Enigma, GlobalStake, DTEAM, Imperator, HighTower, BlockHunters and other.)

We’d also like to recognize the Somnia team for their professionalism—the process was well-structured and seamless, making it an outstanding experience at every step.

For us, it’s truly exciting to contribute to securing a network that is not only scalable and cost-efficient, but also designed to power the next generation of games, social platforms, and AI-driven applications.

The dream is live — and we’re helping power it, stay tuned.

Honesty — the Best Foundation for Trust

On July 1, Story published a post with a bold and, in many ways, brave title — Postmortem. In IT, this term is used when you analyze what went wrong, so you can draw lessons and improve. Usually, such texts are written in a dry, technical manner — but here, it was different.

The team openly shared: after launching the mainnet during the Cantina contest, they found two serious bugs. They fixed them quickly, but didn’t try to hide the fact or pretend nothing had happened. Instead, they openly explained what occurred, how they reacted, and what steps they took to ensure it wouldn’t happen again.

As Story put it clearly in this report:

"We believe in full transparency with our community and are sharing these findings to foster a more secure and resilient ecosystem for everyone."

This phrase reflects the team’s philosophy — openness and care for the network’s safety, even when dealing with difficult moments.

The Security Council — Like an Airbag on a Long Drive

A month later, on August 8, Story announced the creation of the Security Council — an independent group of experts tasked with reacting quickly if a serious threat arises in the network.

At the very start of the announcement, the team reminded everyone that the project is moving forward into its next stage:

"Story is moving into its next chapter of progressive decentralization."

They also explained the philosophy behind this decision:

"Decentralized governance is a spectrum, not a switch."

In other words, decentralization isn’t about flipping a single switch — it’s a gradual process where stability and safety must be maintained.

And perhaps the most accurate comparison was this:
"The Security Council acts as the protocol’s on-call firefighters, providing an expert-led layer that can: React immediately to critical threats; Protect tokenholders and network participants; Preserve the ethos of decentralization by ensuring no single party has unilateral control."

The Council truly operates like a team of “firefighters,” ready to respond in critical moments while respecting the principles of decentralization.

Chapter 2: Where AI Meets Intellectual Property

On July 10, the team presented Chapter 2: AI-Native Infrastructure for the IP Economy. In simpler terms, this is a plan for building infrastructure where artificial intelligence and the intellectual property economy can work together — fairly and transparently.

Today, AI can already create paintings, compose music, write articles, and even design buildings. But who owns these results? Who gets rewarded? And what if multiple people and systems worked on the same project?

Story’s solution is:

Content and data can be licensed automatically through code, without stacks of paperwork.

The system keeps a full record of the work’s origin — who was the first author, who made improvements.

Rewards are automatically distributed among everyone who contributed.

This approach is like honest bookkeeping in the creative world, where no one is left out and everyone gets their share.

Poseidon: A Data Market You Can Trust

On July 22, Story introduced a new project in its ecosystem — Poseidon. This is an infrastructure layer that works with real-world data for AI training.

To understand Poseidon’s value, imagine you have a giant puzzle made of millions of pieces. Each piece is data: videos, photos, audio, sensor information. Some people film videos, others label the frames, others use the data to train models. Poseidon makes sure every puzzle piece is recorded, and its creator is acknowledged and rewarded.

In a world where data is the “fuel” for AI, transparency and fairness become a competitive advantage. Poseidon makes this market clear and trustworthy.

Hackathon: The Energy of Ideas and a Living Community

On July 30, Story wrapped up its internal hackathon. This wasn’t a formal competition just to tick a box — it was a real creative space where ideas were born and turned into prototypes right away.

Here’s what the winners built:

AI Mirror — a tool for training personal AI models on your own data and licensing them.

FanForge — a platform where brand fans can create remixes, and the system automatically distributes revenue among creators.

Infinity — a social network for UI components with blockchain-based proof of authorship.

These projects show how technology can become a foundation for creative solutions. It’s clear that Story is not just building infrastructure — it’s inspiring people to create.

What This Means for All of Us

If you connect all the events of the summer into one line, you get a coherent story:

Story strengthened security and showed it’s not afraid to talk about challenges.

It launched the strategic “Chapter 2” for the AI and IP economy.

It created Poseidon — a tool for a fair and transparent data market.

It held a hackathon, giving community talent a chance to bring their ideas to life.

Each of these steps is not only a contribution to the technology, but also a signal: Story values the people who walk this path alongside it.

Looking Ahead — to New Chapters

The summer of 2025 for Story is an example of how you can solve technical challenges, build a long-term strategy, and still keep the human element at the center. Here, the community is respected — and it shows in every step.

Autumn will likely bring new announcements, new projects, and perhaps the first results from the initiatives launched in the summer. But the main takeaway is the feeling that Story Foundation is moving forward not for the sake of big words, but so that the network and the people in it feel confident.

And it seems, they’re succeeding.

"Crouton Digital is honored to be a mainnet validator at Story Protocol.

GenLayer is building a new kind of blockchain—one that doesn’t just follow fixed rules, but can actually understand and react to what’s happening around it.

Instead of only doing exactly what it's told, it can use artificial intelligence to look up information online, analyze it, and make smarter decisions. That means apps built on GenLayer can respond to real-world events, not just cold lines of code. The team calls it the first “intelligent blockchain”—and honestly, it makes sense. This system doesn’t just process transactions—it thinks about them too.

People started talking about GenLayer for good reason. The team behind it proposed a new way to combine blockchain and AI in a way that actually works. Until now, trying to bring AI into blockchain was kind of a dead-end. Blockchains are rigid, exact, deterministic. AI is fuzzy, flexible, subjective. GenLayer figured out how to make the two work together.

At the heart of it all is something they call Intelligent Contracts. Unlike traditional smart contracts, which always behave the same way, these can adapt. A contract can look something up online, ask an AI model to evaluate it, and then decide what to do. And all that happens on-chain. No offloading to other services. No data tampering. Full transparency.

So how does it work under the hood?

The key is GenVM—a virtual machine designed specifically for intelligent contracts. Developers can write in Python (yes, really), call AI models, fetch data from the internet, and interact with the blockchain like never before. Every action is monitored, and if something feels off, there’s a built-in mechanism to roll back and even re-vote. Safety first.

And to avoid the “black box” problem of relying on a single AI, GenLayer uses something they call Optimistic Democracy. Think of it as a group of AI agents voting on a decision. One proposes an outcome, others review it. If most agree, it passes. If not—appeal round. It’s like an on-chain jury, only powered by machine intelligence.

That’s where it gets really interesting. With this system, blockchain is no longer just a boring ledger—it becomes a reasoning machine. Traditional blockchains work in black-and-white. GenLayer adds the gray. Developers can build contracts that take context into account: the time of day, the mood online, breaking news, or live API data. For example, a contract could adjust based on election results or whether it’s raining in Berlin. All still verifiable. All still trustless.

Now, none of this comes cheap. In early 2025, GenLayer raised $7.5M from some serious names: North Island Ventures, Node Capital, Arrington Capital, even Arthur Hayes. Not bad for a project that’s rewriting the rules of what blockchains can do.

And they’re not doing it alone. GenLayer is already partnering with ZKsync (for scaling), Atoma Network (for private AI inference), and Caldera (for modular blockchain deployment). It’s like they’re assembling a whole toolkit for building smarter applications.

One of the coolest examples so far is a project called Rally. It uses AI to automatically find influencers who are helping a brand and pay them—without any human middlemen. Before GenLayer, that would’ve taken weeks. Now? Just minutes. Fair, automatic, and super efficient.

To help people try it all out, GenLayer launched a testnet called Asimov. You can be a validator, a dev, or just a curious user. They also made something called GenLayer Studio—a browser-based tool where you can write Python contracts, connect them to AI, and test everything in real time. It feels more like playing than coding, honestly.

Participation isn’t just about testing—GenLayer rewards contributors with XP, NFTs, and early access. Here's how it works:

The roadmap is solid too. After Asimov, they’re launching Bradbury, the next phase that adds more complex consensus, more models, and DAO-style governance simulations. The mainnet is expected by the end of 2025, with a native token and fully decentralized validators.

Unlike Ethereum or Solana, GenLayer isn’t trying to be faster or cheaper. It’s trying to be smarter. While others push TPS, GenLayer is pushing logic, trust, and reasoning. It’s not replacing existing chains—it’s carving out a whole new category.

There's also an educational twist. GenLayer lowers the bar for blockchain development. You don’t need to know Solidity. If you’ve ever used Python or worked with AI models, you’re ready. That opens Web3 to a whole new crowd.

Of course, giving AI access to blockchains isn’t without risk. You need guardrails. GenLayer knows that, which is why they use things like greyboxing, diverse model voting, and full transparency for every decision. It’s not just automation—it’s verifiable intelligence.

And in the end, GenLayer isn’t just some flashy tech project. It’s a new way of thinking about how digital decisions are made. It’s the shift from mechanical automation to contextual awareness. From code that just executes, to code that understands.

An “intelligent blockchain” may sound futuristic today, but give it a year or two, and it might feel as normal as smartphones do now. GenLayer is still early, but it’s already sparked imagination—and that’s usually how real revolutions begin.

“Metaverse.” Sounds futuristic. If you’ve ever explored this topic, you’ve probably seen dozens of projects claiming to build “the next internet.” Most ended the same way: fancy graphics, clunky UX, and users who quickly lost interest.

But in 2025, something different showed up: Somnia — a platform that actually works. Not because it shouts louder than others, but because it quietly solves problems others couldn’t. Let’s dive into what makes it special and why it’s worth watching.

Why most metaverse projects flopped

It’s not that the idea was bad. On the contrary — digital worlds where you can socialize, build, own, and earn? That sounds like the natural evolution of the internet.

But the execution?

Laggy and slow. You log in — it freezes. Try to buy something — it crashes.

No reason to return. Empty worlds, bland content, nothing to explore.

Walled gardens. You buy an avatar — and it only works in one app.

In the end, users leave, devs give up, and what’s left is a digital ghost town.

How Somnia does things differently

Somnia isn’t just “another blockchain metaverse.” It’s a platform built from scratch to fix everything that went wrong before.

Speed: Somnia’s network can handle up to 1 million transactions per second. That’s instant everything — movement, trading, building.

Ultra-low fees: Transactions cost less than a cent. Which is critical for apps or games with high interaction frequency.

Open architecture: You can take your avatar or NFT from one world to another — no barriers.

Creator tools: Visual editors, SDKs, docs, grants, and a dev-friendly community. Everything you need to build your vision.

What can you actually do in Somnia?

Create your own worlds. A cozy café, an art gallery, a training arena for your squad — your imagination sets the limit.

Play and explore. Join live events, win rewards, meet others, or just wander.

Sell digital goods. Clothes, skins, accessories, emotes — anything you create can be sold as an NFT.

Build a business. Launch apps, monetize ideas, attract users.

And most importantly — what you create is truly yours. Items are stored on-chain, not on some company’s server. Nobody can delete or take them away from you.

A real-life example

Let’s say you’re a 3D artist. In the past, you’d upload your model to a platform — and legally, it wasn’t even yours. In Somnia, that same model becomes your digital asset. You can sell it in one world, wear it in another, or import it into a third-party app.

Sounds obvious, right? But almost no one does this. Somnia does.

What’s under the hood?

If you’re into the tech:

In short: it’s fast, stable, and built to scale.

Not just for devs

Not a developer? No worries. Somnia makes sure regular users feel right at home:

World Builder: A drag-and-drop editor for building environments in your browser.

Somnia Passport: A digital identity you can use across different apps and experiences.

Avatars: Customizable characters with emotions, outfits, and styles.

Who’s backing Somnia?

Heavy hitters. Companies like Improbable and MSquared are investing and actively helping Somnia grow as the foundation for future metaverses. There’s also a $270M ecosystem fund and a $10M grant program — perfect for anyone looking to build serious projects on the platform.

Want to try it out?

Here’s how to get started:

Visit somnia.network

Connect your wallet

Explore the worlds, try World Builder

Join the community on Twitter or Discord

Why it’s worth paying attention

Because Somnia isn’t just a pretty concept. It’s a working system. A tech platform that goes beyond one game or one scene. It’s a place where you can be not just a visitor — but a creator.

And if you’ve ever wondered what the internet of tomorrow might look like — this is a chance to experience a piece of it today. Quietly, without hype, Somnia is doing what others only talk about.

Not long ago, we started participating in testing a very interesting platform with a pretty memorable name — Sahara AI. We’ve already written more in-depth about this project, but now it’s time to talk about what’s actually happening there and how their public testnet, SIWA, is actively evolving. And to be honest, this isn’t just another testnet — it’s an attempt to completely change the rules of the game in the world of AI and data.

At first glance, it may look like just another blockchain project. But the more you dig in, the clearer it becomes: they’re laying the foundation for a new digital economy where data ownership takes center stage.

Some quick stats: they already have over 3 million accounts in the private testnet, 1.4 million daily active users, and 200,000 users working with their Data Services Platform. That’s not just noise — that’s serious traction.

Now, let’s get to the core. SIWA is Sahara’s first public network, built to let anyone not only explore the idea of “AI ownership” but literally record it in their wallet. The idea is simple: you upload your dataset (could be text, .json, .csv, or .txt), tokenize it as an NFT on the blockchain, and permanently register your ownership rights.

📌 That means:

No one can just grab your data without your consent;

You get a transparent and verifiable record of your authorship;

You can participate in future revenue distribution if your dataset is used to train AI models.

And here’s where Sahara gets really interesting. They’re building a complete infrastructure where:

You can license your data;

You can see who used your dataset (“trained on”);

You can track if someone created a new dataset based on yours (“derived from”).

This transparent chain is like a family tree for AI — every step is recorded and verifiable. Most importantly, this system gives every contributor a chance to claim their piece of the pie when it comes to value generation.

All of this works through developer.saharalabs.ai. The interface is pretty straightforward: upload your file, select the format, describe your data — and click submit. You get an ERC-721 NFT confirming your ownership. Then the NFT is logged into the Sahara Global Registry — and boom, you're officially on the map.

🎮 Want something lighter but still want to participate? Check out Sahara Legends. It's a gamified experience where you create a character, complete missions, earn points, collect NFTs, and most importantly — interact with the ecosystem. It’s not just for fun — it’s a way to build up activity that might get you real rewards down the road. Many missions are actually designed to help you explore and test SIWA components — so you’re learning and earning at the same time.

🚀 And if you want to try deploying a smart contract but the word "Solidity" scares you — don’t worry. There are two great platforms:

https://contracts.mintair.xyz/ — pick a template and deploy it to the testnet in just a few clicks. No code, no hassle.

https://playground.easy-node.xyz/ — this one is even more visual. You can build a smart contract like a puzzle, test it, and deploy it — all without touching any code.

📣 Got creative skills? You can contribute too. Sahara welcomes original content — there’s a special channel in their Discord where you can share posts, articles, memes, and more. It’s a legit way to stay involved in the project and potentially earn some recognition.

💰 And here’s the sweet part — Sahara has already announced an upcoming drop. Everything you do in SIWA will count toward it. Tested a smart contract? Uploaded a dataset? Played in Legends? It all might be factored in. No exact rules yet, but they’ve promised that the value will be distributed among early participants.

📅 And yep, there’s a roadmap:

Phase 2 — licensing, revenue distribution, and royalty vaults. You’ll be able to earn from your datasets via licenses, and the system will automatically share revenue with creators and investors.

Phase 3 — fully open permissionless testnet. Everything will go open source, and anyone will be able to join, deploy, integrate, modify — without any barriers.

Phase 4 — full AI pipeline registration, tracking every stage, with automatic revenue sharing between contributors: who supplied the data, who built the model, who wrote the prompt — everyone gets credited.

And one more thing: Sahara isn’t just “another AI + blockchain” attempt. It’s a shot at creating a new model of digital ownership, where your data belongs to you. Where your knowledge, input, and effort aren’t just entries in a log — they’re valuable assets that can earn you a share.

If you’re building, curating datasets, working with AI, or just want to get your hands dirty and understand how it works — SIWA is worth checking out. It’s not as effortless as minting an NFT, but long-term, it could become a far more valuable experience.

🛡 By the way, our team at Crouton Digital has already become a validator on the Sahara network. We’re actively testing and supporting the project, and we absolutely recommend paying attention to it. This is a project worth getting involved with early.

Everything’s free, open, and up and running right now — so why not give it a try? And who wouldn’t want to be part of a future drop with a solid track record already behind them?

Crouton Digital is proud to be one of the Validators in SIWA testnet.

Thank you for your attention, if you have any question you can reach out to us.
Website: https://crouton.digital/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/CroutonDigital
Telegram: https://t.me/CroutonDigital
E-mail: official@crouton.digital

Ethereum.

The Merge, The Surge, The Scourge, The Verge, The Purge и The Splurge.

Ethereum.

2. Краткое введение в SocialFi

3. Знакомство с лидерами — Lens и Farcaster

Lens

Lens.

Facebook - ~4

Twitter

Farcaster.

Farcaster.

Lens & Farcaster
