1. Describe a person you know who has chosen a career in the medical field (e.g., a doctor, a nurse)

One person I know who has chosen a career in the medical field is my cousin, Dilshod. He is currently working as a general surgeon at a hospital in Tashkent. From a young age, Dilshod was always passionate about science and helping others. I remember how he used to treat stray animals and read biology books while the rest of us were playing games.

He studied very hard and got a scholarship to one of the top medical universities in Uzbekistan. His journey was not easy – he spent long nights studying and barely had time for himself. But his dedication paid off when he finally became a certified surgeon.

What I admire most about him is his selflessness. Even during holidays, he is on call, helping people who are in critical condition. I believe people like him are real heroes because they put others before themselves. He truly inspires me to be hardworking and passionate about whatever career I choose.

2. Describe a person who likes to read a lot

I would like to talk about my friend Nozlan, who is a true bookworm. She reads all the time – during lunch breaks, on the bus, and even before going to bed. Her favorite genres are fantasy, romance, and psychology. I often see her with a novel in one hand and a notebook in the other, where she writes down quotes and reflections.

One thing I love about her is that she always recommends great books. Thanks to her, I started reading more, and it has improved my vocabulary a lot. She believes that reading opens your mind and helps you understand life better. I couldn’t agree more.

Once, she finished a 500-page book in just two days! I was shocked. She said when a story is really good, you don’t even notice the time. I admire her passion and the way she can get lost in different worlds through books.

3. Describe a time when you lost an important and valuable item

A time I lost something valuable was last year when I misplaced my phone at a shopping mall. It was a birthday gift from my mother, so it had great sentimental value, not just financial.

I was in a hurry, going from shop to shop, and at one point, I placed my phone on a counter and forgot to pick it up. After leaving the mall, I realized it was missing. My heart dropped! I immediately ran back, checking every place I had visited, but it was nowhere to be found.

Luckily, a kind security guard had found it and turned it in. I was so relieved and grateful. This experience taught me to be more careful with my belongings and to always stay focused, even when I’m in a rush.

4. Describe a time when you answered a phone call from someone you didn’t know in a public place

One time, I received a call from an unknown number while I was on a crowded bus. At first, I didn’t want to answer it, but something told me to pick up. When I did, the person on the line said they found my lost wallet and were trying to return it to me.

I was shocked because I hadn’t even noticed that my wallet was missing! The caller explained that they found it on a bench near the bus stop, and my phone number was written on a card inside. We agreed to meet at a nearby café, and sure enough, they gave it back to me. I was incredibly grateful.

That call, although unexpected, saved me a lot of trouble. It reminded me that there are still honest and kind people in the world, and I learned to be more aware of my things in public.

5. Describe your favourite food at a traditional festival or a special event in your country

My favorite food during traditional festivals in Uzbekistan is osh, also known as plov. It is a special rice dish made with meat, carrots, onions, and sometimes raisins. This dish is often served during weddings, Navruz, and other cultural events.

What makes it so special is not just the taste, but the way it brings people together. During Navruz, my whole family gathers at my grandmother’s house, and she cooks plov in a large kazan (cauldron) in the yard. The smell is so delicious that neighbors often come to say hello just to get a whiff!

I love how soft the meat becomes and how the flavors of the spices mix perfectly. Plov is not just a meal — it’s part of our identity. Every bite feels like a taste of home, and I always look forward to it during festivals.

6. Describe a party that you enjoyed

One of the most memorable parties I attended was my cousin’s wedding party last summer. It was held in a beautiful outdoor venue decorated with fairy lights and traditional Uzbek patterns. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was full of joy and laughter.

The party started with traditional music and dancing. Everyone wore their best clothes, and there was so much delicious food – plov, somsa, and even modern dishes like sushi and pizza. What made the party special for me was the people. I met relatives I hadn’t seen in years, and we caught up on old memories.

Later in the evening, there was a live band, and we all danced until midnight. I even participated in a small dance competition with my cousins, and we won a funny little prize – a big chocolate bar! That night was filled with happiness, unity, and love. I’ll always remember it as one of the best parties of my life.

7. Describe a movie you watched recently

Recently, I watched a Korean movie called "Miracle in Cell No.7." It’s a heartbreaking story about a mentally disabled man who is wrongly accused of a crime and sent to prison. Despite the sadness, the movie is also full of warmth and love, especially the relationship between the father and his daughter.

What touched me most was how the prisoners in his cell helped him secretly raise his daughter inside the prison. They formed a kind of family. The movie made me cry, laugh, and reflect deeply on justice and humanity.

I watched it with my best friend, and we were both speechless at the end. This film reminded me that sometimes love and innocence can survive even in the darkest places. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel something deep and unforgettable.

8. Describe an occasion when you helped a family member

A few months ago, I helped my younger sister prepare for her final math exam. She was really stressed and lacked confidence. I’m good at math, so I decided to help her every evening after dinner.

We spent about two weeks studying together. I tried to make the lessons fun by turning them into games and using real-life examples. Slowly, she started understanding the concepts and even began enjoying math.

The happiest moment was when she told me she scored 9 out of 10 in her test. She hugged me tightly and thanked me for believing in her. That experience not only made me feel proud but also brought us closer as siblings.

9. Describe a person who likes to make things by hand

My grandmother is a person who loves to make things by hand. She’s incredibly talented in embroidery and knitting. Since I was a child, I’ve seen her create beautiful pillow covers, scarves, and tablecloths with traditional Uzbek patterns.

She usually sits near the window with her tools and music playing softly in the background. She says making things by hand helps her relax and stay connected to her roots. I remember once she made a scarf for me with my name stitched into it – it was the best gift ever.

I truly admire her creativity and patience. In today’s world of machines and fast production, people like my grandma remind us of the beauty of hand-made art.

10. Describe a time that you showed something new to others

Last year, I had to give a presentation at school about how to use Canva – a design app. Most of my classmates didn’t know much about it, so I volunteered to introduce it.

I prepared some slides and showed how to design posters, invitations, and social media posts using the app. I also gave them some tips on using templates and color matching. The best part was that it wasn’t just boring theory – I made everyone try making something themselves on their phones.

My classmates were really impressed, and even the teacher asked me to help her design a poster for our school event. I felt proud that I could share something useful and make others learn something new and creative.

11. Describe an online video in which you learned something new

One of the most useful online videos I’ve watched was about “How to stay focused while studying.” It was by a motivational YouTuber named Ali Abdaal, who gives advice for students.

In the video, he explained techniques like the Pomodoro method – where you study for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break – and the idea of setting specific goals for each session. I immediately tried his tips and noticed that I was more productive and less tired.

Now, whenever I feel lazy or distracted, I rewatch his videos or follow his advice. That one video actually helped me become more organized in my life and study better. I even shared it with my classmates, and they found it helpful too.

12. Describe a person who has strong opinions

My friend Fatima is someone who has very strong opinions. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, whether it’s about school policies, social issues, or even daily topics like fashion or food.

Sometimes, people find her a bit too direct, but I admire her confidence. She always does her research before forming an opinion, and she listens to others, even if she disagrees.

One time, in a debate about online education, she spoke so passionately and logically that even the teacher said she made great points. I think having strong opinions is powerful when you can express them respectfully, and Fatima does exactly that.

13. Describe a prize you have received recently

Last semester, I received a prize for being the top student in English. It was a surprise because I didn’t expect it – I was just trying my best.

During the school assembly, my name was announced, and I was called to the stage. I received a certificate and a set of beautiful notebooks. My classmates clapped, and I could see my teacher smiling proudly.

What made this prize special was not the gift itself but the recognition of my efforts. It motivated me to work even harder and showed me that consistency always pays off.

14. Describe a crowded place you have visited

A crowded place I visited recently was a concert in Tashkent. It was a music festival with both local and foreign artists performing. The stadium was packed with thousands of people.

At first, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the noise and crowd, but once the music started, I forgot everything else. The lights, energy, and excitement were amazing. Everyone was singing along and dancing – it felt like we were all one big family.

Even though it was hard to move around and the line for food was long, I had a great time. It was one of those experiences you remember not because it was comfortable, but because it was full of life.

15. Describe a challenge you faced that you thought was rather difficult

One big challenge I faced was learning how to speak in public. I used to be very shy and afraid of speaking in front of a group. But one day, our teacher made each student give a short speech.

I was terrified, but I prepared and practiced every night. When my turn came, my hands were shaking, but I reminded myself to breathe and smile. The speech wasn’t perfect, but I managed to finish it.

After that, I felt more confident. Now, I even volunteer to speak sometimes. That experience showed me that fear can be defeated with effort and belief in yourself.

Topic:
An increasing number of people are choosing to live in big cities.
Question:
Do the advantages of living in big cities outweigh the disadvantages?

Intro: Nowadays , many people prefer to live in urban areas for some benefits such as more job opportunities and better education. However, I personally feel that living in metropolitan areas has more benefits for individuals than its downsides .

One clear disadvantage is the high cost of living can be unaffordable for many. These everyday expenses such as food, transportation, heath care and housing can place a burden on low-income families . As a result , people are forced to work in multiple jobs or move suburban or rural areas . On the other hand , one major downside is that living in a big city can be stressful due to overcrowding and noise. Especially older people are bothered since they need peace, so these situations make them to move another places.

One of the main advantages is that big cities have more job opportunities which are needed to everyone wants to achieve success and prosperity in her or his career. Cities offer wider range of employment to not only educated people but also ordinary workers. As s results , this reduces poverty and unemployment wchis is extremely problematic things in today. Another major upside is better education system which is very important for both individuals and society. Since urban cities offer more schools and universities , people tend to have more options when it comes to study and learning. So , if the country has more educated people , there will be more human labor , less unemployment which lead to poverty.

As we have seen , despite big cities have adverse sides for individuals, it is clear that advantages of living in there outweights any disadvantages.

Topic:
Some people believe that animal testing for medical purposes is necessary, while others argue it is cruel and should be banned.
Question:
Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Animal testing has long been a controversial topic. While some people argue thatt it is essential for developing life-saving medicines and ensuring human safety, others believe it is unethical and inhumane. In this essay, I will examine both sides of the argument and explain why I believe that although animal testing is not ideal, it is currently necessary in certain medical research contexts.

Supporters of animal testing claim that it has played a crucial role in many medical advancements. For instance, vaccines for deadly diseases such as polio, tuberculosis, and even COVID-19 were developed using animal trials. These tests help scientists understand how a drug interacts with living organisms before moving to human trials, which reduces the risk of harmful side effects. Without such procedures, many treatments might never reach the market or could pose serious dangers to people.

On the other hand, opponents argue that animal testing is cruel and unnecessary. Animals are often kept in poor conditions, subjected to painful experiments, and ultimately killed. With the advancement of technology, alternative testing methods such as computer simulations, stem cell testing, and 3D-printed organs are becoming more reliable and accurate. Critics believe that continuing to harm animals for human benefit is morally wrong when alternatives exist.

In conclusion, although animal testing involves ethical dilemmas, I believe it is still necessary for now, especially when it comes to developing treatments for serious diseases.

Question❓:
Some people think that shops should not be allowed to sell food or drinks that are scientifically proven to be bad for people’s health.Do you agree or disagree?

Introduction:

Nowadays , there are many opinions that food and beverages which are scientifically considered to have adverse effects for individual's health should be restricted for selling. And I completely agree with this statement that , this kind of food and drinks are more likely to cause serious health problems like diabetes, heart diseases and inflammation.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, products which are proven that can negatively affect on health of humans should not be available in markets. Restricting these unhealthy products can lead to reduction in diseases and mainly encouraging healthy life-style

Question ⁉️:
Many people believe that safe investments are better for their long-term future while others feel there is more value in risky investments.Discuss both sides andgive your own opinion.

Introduction
: Choosing to put money into safe investments like savings accounts , government bonds or stable companies since they can offer lower risk of losing money and more secure , less stressful experience are considered better , while some think risky investments can provide the opportunity to earn significantly higher returns . In this essay , I will discuss both sides and give my opinion.

Conclusion:In conclusion, by putting money into safer investments like governments bonds or stable companies, as a result , there may be reduction in risk of losing money, despite it is not like significantly higher returns like in risky investments .
Health services are a basic necessity. However, private companies have made them quite costly for ordinary individuals.
Do the advantages of private health care outweigh its disadvantages?

Despite the fact that , health servicesis one of the most important needs for human-being , private hospitals has become quiet expensive for ordinary individuals. I believe that this trend has far more advantages rather the disadvantages.

Firstly, private hospitals provide high- quality facilities and equipments since they usually have the latest medical technology and clean , well-maintened facilities.Unlike many government hospitals, which often rely on outdated systems and tools, private institutions are able to provide faster, more accurate diagnoses and more effective treatment. For example, modern digital assessments used in private clinics are often more reliable than traditional paper-based methods, which can be biased or misinterpreted. As a result, patients receive more personalized and efficient care.

Secondly, private companies provide to access to specialists who are top doctors and highly experienced medical staff often work in high-end private hospitals. For instance , say you come hospital with cardiovascular disease and so, in private company, you can consult with cardiologist in few days . However , in governmental hospitals ,u have to at least one or two weak. As a result, patient's level of recovery increases significantly.

In conclusion, while private companies are quite expensive for ordinary individuals, the facilities and opportunities it gives is worthy.

Pov/ author:

So‘zsiz dard va jim yurak o‘rtasida yashaydigan Ara haqida. To‘liq jim emas — yarim jim. Yashash va bo‘g‘ilish orasidagi holat.

“<s>Tasodifiy uchrashuv — yoki taqdirning boshlanishi?”</s>

Tungi shahar chiroqlari yaltirab turar, ko‘chalarda odamlar shoshib o‘tardi. Ara esa, kundalik tashvishlarini unutib, sekin qadam tashlar edi. Noutbukdan uzoq, haqiqiy hayotga qarshi o‘zining kichik intihosi...

O‘sha kech, u kichik bir kafe oldida kutib turgan edi — atrofdagi shovqindan boshini ko‘tarib, qandaydir yangi ilhom izlab, Shunda u bilan bir kishi to‘qnashib qoldi.
Uning ko‘zlari – juda oddiy, ammo biror narsa Ara uchun noodatiy edi. Yuzida tabassum bor edi, lekin ko‘zlarida esa sirli bir chiroq yonardi...

“Uzr, men kôrmadim” dedi u muloyim ovozda.

Ara boshini ko‘tardi va ko‘zlariga qaradi. Shu lahzada dunyo o‘zgargandek bo‘ldi. U inson Ara uchun oddiy betakror uchrashuv emas, balki yangi hikoyaning boshlanishini yaratayotgandek edi...

Ara bir kecha yozishni bas qildi. U o‘sha bolani o‘ylardi.

U: uzun bo‘yli, qora kurtka kiygan, yurishi sokin, ovozi — g‘amgin va ohangdor. Lekin eng ajablanarli jihati — uning ko‘zlari. U yerda qandaydir tanish qorong‘ulik bor edi. Ara bu qorong‘ulikni qayerdadir ilgari ko‘rgandek edi.

Keyingi kunlar... Ara kafe atroflariga yana bordi. Har safar kitob ko‘tarib chiqdi, go‘yoki atay qilgandek...
Va nihoyat, u yana paydo bo‘ldi.

“Sen yozuvchisan, to‘g‘rimi?” — dedi u bu safar to‘g‘ridan-to‘g‘ri.
Ara hayron qoldi. “Qanday bilding?”
U jilmaydi. “Men ham yozaman. Faqat odamlarning ruhlari haqida.”

Bu yerda nima bo‘layapti? Bu tasodifmi? Ara ilk bor o‘zini kuzatilayotgandek his qildi. U yigit — namjoon — unga qaraganida, go‘yoki Araning qalbini o‘qiyotgandek edi.

Namjoon har safar bir parcha gap qoldirib ketar edi.
“Sen yozgangan sôzlar — men tuyayotgan og‘riq.”
“Sen so‘zlarda yashirinding. Men ularni o‘qib topdim.”

Ara dahshat aralash qiziqish bilan uni o‘qir, lekin yuragida shubha ham ortar edi.

Bir kuni Namjoon unga eski kundalik olib keldi. Yillar avval yozilgan, ammo unda Ara so‘zlariga o‘xshash satrlar bor edi.
Ara titrab, sahifalarni ochdi.

> “If she ever writes,
let her know I once loved her echo.”

Bu satr kimga tegishli edi? Nega Namjoon uni yillar davomida bilgandek gapiryapti?

Va eng dahshatli narsa shuki — Ara o‘sha kundalikni ko‘rgandek edi. Go‘yoki u bolalikda yo‘qotgan bir parcha o‘tmishi...

Tungi shahar go‘yo tinchgina nafas olayotgandi. Ko‘chalar jim, daraxtlar sukunatga to‘la, odamlar esa uyquda… faqat Ara uyg‘oq edi.

Qo‘lida yillar avvalgi kundalik.
Undagi so‘zlar — ko‘rganidan beri ko‘nglidan ketmayapti:

> “If she ever writes,
let her know I once loved her echo.”>

Bu satrlar oddiy ifoda emasdi. Unda nima borligini Ara o‘zi ham bilmasdi, lekin yuragi nimagadir zirqirab, unga yaqinlashayotgandi. Harflar orqasida yashirin bir o‘tmish, unutilgan voqelik, balki — yo‘qotilgan sevgi bor edi.

U telefoniga qaradi.
Namjoon yozmagan. So‘nggi bor uni uch kun oldin ko‘rganda O‘sha kundalikni berib, “Yozishni to‘xtatma,” degandi, xolos.

Ara yostiqqa bosh qo‘ydi. O‘zini yo‘qotayotganini his qildi — lekin qandaydir yangi joyda, yangi o‘zlikda qayta tug‘ilgandek.
Namjoonni uchratganidan beri u yozayotgan satrlar o‘zgarib qoldi:
so‘zlar endi nafaqat og‘riqdan, balki umid va iltijodan ham to‘qilgan edi.

Ertasi kuni u yana o‘sha kafega bordi. Biroq Namjoon yo‘q edi.
Kutilmaganda ofitsiant bir konvert uzatdi.
“Bu siz uchun qoldirilgan,” dedi u.
Ara yuragi siqilgan holda konvertni ochdi.

Unda bitta qog‘oz varaq, va yana tanish satrlar:

> “We met before,
but you forgot.
I remembered.”>

> “You once promised,
‘If I forget you,
remind me in words.’”>

Ara qog‘ozni titragan qo‘llari bilan ushlab o‘qidi.
Uning yuragida qandaydir eshik ochildi. U birdan anglab yetdi:
bu satrlar unga tanish. Bu — uning o‘zi yozgan eski hikoyadan edi. Lekin bu hikoyani u hech kimga bermagan… faqat bir bolaga, bolaligida, hammadan sir turgan, yashirincha sevgan yigitga ko‘rsatgan edi.

“Namjoon…” — Ara cho‘kdi. Nafasi siqildi.
Bu ism yolg‘on bo‘lishi mumkinmi?

✨🎥✨🎥✨🎥✨🎥

Flashback:

7 yoshli Ara daryo boyidagi yetim bolani esladi. Har kuni unga hikoya o‘qib berar, bir kuni esa “eslab qol, men yozuvchi bôlaman” deb aytgan edi. U bola jim edi, lekin ko‘zlarida — o‘sha tanish sukunat.

> “ Agar unutib qo‘ysam, yozgan hikoyam orqali eslatsang bo‘ladi,” degandi u bolaga ...>

Ara qattiq titradi.
U bola — bu Namjoonmi?
Yoki… uning ismi Namjoon emasdi?
Nega u buni yashirdi?

Kechasi, Ara oynadan osmonga qaradi. Yulduzlar jim edi.
U ovozsiz, lekin yurakdan chiqqan iborani shivirladi:

> “Men seni unutgan bo‘lsam… bu hikoya seni qaytaradi.”

U yana yozishni boshladi. Ammo bu safar — u uchun emas.
Bu safar — unga eslatish uchun.
Chunki ba’zan insonlar oramizda yillar yashaydi, jim, nomsiz.
Ammo ular — biz yozgan, lekin unutgan sahifalarimiz bo‘lishi mumkin...
