The settlement is divided into two parts - the continent and the island. Houses and other infrastructure are situated on the continent of Dikson. There is a school, a kindergarden, product shop, chemist's and a hospital. And there is only airport on the island. And an island and a continet are linked with an ice crossing.

History

Dikson began to develop from the island — September, 7 1915 "Dikson" radiostation existed and connected with "Isakogorskaya" radiostation. This day is a city day of Dikson.
