The true greatness of a school is invisible to our eyes. Today we will talk about two types of schools and how their qualities are assessed.
The first type of school is public. It is funded by residents' taxes and is free for everyone. I studied in such a school. And I can say that like everyone else, they also have disadvantages. For example, assessment. They could give grades on authority. And when I was studying diligently to get a red diploma, teachers who disliked me just gave low grades. But there were also good teachers who were more for me than teachers. They care about the result, but they can lie.
The second type of school is paid. It is funded by the students. As I heard they have very strict requirements and they are very concerned about the results. And they can set the rules themselves. They have a lot of resources and they did a good job with online learning.
The difference between them is visible to the eye. Paid schools will always be the best. They have strict control. Despite the fact that a lot depends on the students too, the wrong knowledge is always bad. Students do not value free things until they lose and many of them live in a comfort zone I wish both sides had the same better learning qualities.

Lots of parents all over the world and particularly in Kazakhstan ask themselves this
question. Will public school or private school establish the finest basis of knowledge and experience for my child? When it comes to education, parents want the best for their children. I’ve studied only in public schools and cannot compare them from my own experience. But I’ll try to imagine myself as a mother and make the analysis to decide which school would be better for my child to study at.
I’ll start with considering such questions as will my child receive enough individual attention from teachers, what extracurricular activities are available and does the school align with our values and needs?
In 2018 MES of the RK reported that there are 125 private schools in Kazakhstan with
approximately 26 thousand students, while the amount of public schools reaches 7 024 and more than 3 million children study there. The figure of students in 1 public school is twice as much as in private school. That means that classes in public schools tend to be overcrowded and not all of the students have the ability to talk to their teacher if they have any questions or haven’t understood the theme. That also means that teachers in public schools won’t examine each student’s learning style and abilities and would assess everyone according to the standard. As for me, I want my child to get enough attention and support, so at this point private school eclipses public one. Moreover, it has been proven that one-on-one time with students improves academic performance and achievements.
Extracurricular activities is an important criterion when choosing a school. My child might need after-school care and also other activities like art, drama or sports clubs. I believe it’d positively affect my child and broaden his or her mind. Yet again, because of the number of students at public school they don’t have such activities. Even if they do, they are poorly held due to the lack of staff, time an government’s funding. Private schools, on the contrary, offer a great variety of activities and events, which I want my child to participate in, in order to communicate and socialize with peers.
The last, but not the least — needs and values. They include geographical location, cost, well-trained teachers and some of the items discussed above. As there are few private schools in Almaty, it may be difficult to commute there so public schools’ advantage is that they are accessible and many parents send their kids to a particular school because it is a stone’s throw. The cost of education in private schools is usually high however, it is explained by the quality of education, campus building and school’s staff. Public schools are free which is also great because all of the children have the opportunity to study. Finally, I’m convinced private schools have better-trained teachers with advanced degrees and test them before hiring.
Summing up, I’d choose a private school for my child. Although the price is high, it is worth paying and it’d be a great investment in my child’s future. However, I’m talking for myself and some people might prefer public schools for benefits which were not described here. I assume, private school vs. public school debate will never come to an end, because both sides have their pros and cons. Each family should decide from their abilities and needs

They go to the best universities in the world, such as Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford and so on. But on the other hand, in our country private school fees are very high, approximately 700 thousand tenges monthly, however the results are worth it.
The second type is a public school, which is controlled by the government, and parents do not need to pay for their children’s education. They also have positive and negative sides. Firstly, they are available for every citizen. All children despite their material conditions can get free education. However, unlike private schools, public schools have more students per class. For instance, while in private schools about 10 students, in public schools more than 20. On my mind, it also affects the quality of education.
To sum up, comparing the pros and cons of these two types of schools, I would choose a private school to attend, if I had a chance.

There are many similarities and differences between private schools and public schools. One of the similarities is that they both have athletic programs. One of the differences is that private schools have to wear uniforms and public schools do not. Private schools and public schools are the same in many ways but they are also different.
Private schools and public schools share many similarities. One thing that they share is that they both have athletic programs. I have been to both a Private school and a public school and both of the athletic programs are great, they like to work you like an ox. Something else that Private and public schools have in common is that they both have dress codes. Private school dress codes are a little more strict because you usually have to wear a uniform, but in both schools you do have dress codes.
Even though both Private and public schools share many similarities, they also have many differences too. The first difference is that in private school you have to wear uniforms, rather than in public schools where you can wear almost anything you want to as long as you follow the dress code. I have learned from experience that wearing uniforms is not too great, because they kind of make you feel like you are in a prison. The second difference between both schools is that in public schools you do not get to worship God. People in public schools are missing out on what is happening in not getting to worship God. Worshiping God is like nothing else on earth.
Both public and private schools have many things on common and many things that are different too. It is important to know the difference and similarities between private schools and public schools when choosing one of these schools. If you choose a public school, it will be harder to follow God because you will not be in a Godly environment. Both schools have great academics, the only difference is the Godly environment.

If the question is what is better private or public school, then most likely my answer will be private school. Well, in private schools, everything is perfect, except for one thing, tuition fees. In our country, not many people can afford to study in private schools. But such schools are worth paying such money, because after finishing private schools, graduates most often do not pass the UNT, but immediately apply to foreign universities and pass local entrance exams, surprisingly with high scores, because most often private schools are taught by teachers from abroad with higher education, so students have a chance to study abroad.
Well, now about the disadvantages of such schools. Some private educational institutions with expensive education are accused of unwise waste of funds and mismatch of prices and services. If we start talking about public schools, let's first move on to the pros. The advantages of a public school include:

Also, the state educational institution has many disadvantages:

Also, a public school is very good at teaching children about life (or survival) and helps to form a social circle of people with whom to communicate. But it also has negative parts. Most schools do not provide their students with the necessary facilities, starting with sofas, working toilet bowls, sinks, ending with equipped classrooms and things needed for a practical lesson.
On the other hand, there are private schools. And I can say that their main advantage is their convenience. The majority of children of wealthy parents go to private schools. Accordingly, they pay money and for school there is everything that is needed for study. There, the number of students is not too large, so teachers have the opportunity to help students individually and develop in their own direction. And at the expense of its minuses, it's money. Private schools are often very expensive for the average parent. And we can say that private schools create some kind of vacuum for students that they may not fully understand reality.
In conclusion, taking all the arguments into account, I can say that private schools are still the best choice. There are a number of pluses and minuses, but mostly all minuses can be fixed. If you look in general, the problem of public schools is mostly in its education itself, while the problem of private schools, the majority is only in the lack of funds for it.

Public school is a place to gain knowledge supported by the government for free. Most parents find private school better for their kids than public schools for several reasons. First private schools have high quality of teaching and a better method of educational system. Also, private school students are more disciplined and have high levels of inspiration and are full of ideas. As an example, I have a friend who studies in private school. She always spent her time watching motivational films and usually tried to learn new languages. Compared to public school students, private school students tend to have more motivation to self-development and to gain higher knowledge. Moreover, the teachers of private schools are well-educated and always use new methods of teaching. As an example, we can take some of the private high schools, such as Haileybury Astana where 53 high qualified foreign pedagogues work. In that school students have an opportunity to develop themselves by studying and joining many great clubs of the school. Next one is, International schools Spectrum. Last year 3 graduates of this school got scholarships to one of the top 100 universities in the world. I am curious about the teaching methods of these schools and in the future would like to get an opportunity to gain an experience in such kind of great schools.
From my personal view, I consider private school as a best choice due to the subjects and the knowledge which were given to students.
To sum up, both school’s have ups and downs. However, as private school have many advantages, it is better to gain a knowledge there if a student has a chance to pursue education.
