Самыми популярными поддерживаемыми проектами протокола являются Ether.fi (eETH), Kelp (rsETH), Renzo (ezETH), Swell (swETH), Lido (stETH) и Ethena (USDe).

В качестве токена управления используется PENDLE. Его необходимо заблокировать на сайте проекта и получить вместо него vePENDLE, чтобы иметь возможность голосовать за добавление новых активов для токенизации и их пулов на площадке. При этом держатели данного актива получают право на 3% от доходов пользователей Pendle Earn.

Как работает Pendle Finance?

Основной принцип работы протокола заключается в токенизации потенциальной доходности. При внесении актива на Pendle Finance происходит создание его обернутой версии стандарта EIP-5115, которую также называют SY (Standardized Yield) - стандартизированный токен, совместимый с AMM Pendle. Например, stETH становится SY-stETH.

В свою очередь, она разделяется на два инструмента: базовый токен (principal token; PT) и токен доходности (yield token; YT). Первый представляет основную часть актива, в то время как второй является правом на будущую доходность актива(например поинты).

(PT) Базовый токен –– это неизменная величина, которая всегда остается одинаковой. (YT) Токен доходности имеет срок действия, со временем теряет в стоимости с учетом постепенного получения прибыли, пока его цена не опустится до нуля, и он становится бесполезным.

Это происходит во время так называемого момента «зрелости» (Maturity). Он наступает после окончания срока, на который пользователь выбрал внести первоначальный актив. В таком случае он может обменять свой PT обратно, а также забрать всю накопленную доходность.

Также есть возможность зафиксировать будущую доходность (например, от стейкинга ETH), заранее продав её другому пользователю.

В чем успех Pendle?

Для создания полноценного рынка используются собственный AMM (специально разработанный для торговли токенами с временным распадом (time decay)(YT)) и оффчейн ордербук для лимитных ордеров. Работает в нескольких EVM-совместимых сетях. Это снижает имперманент лосс (IL) для поставщиков ликвидности, так как PT стабильно приближается к номинальной стоимости актива к моменту погашения.

AMM — это механизм, который позволяет торговать активами без традиционной книги ордеров, используя пулы ликвидности. В Pendle AMM работает с парами PT/SY (Principal Token/Standardized Yield), где SY — это стандартизированный токен, представляющий исходный актив (например, SY-stETH для stETH).

Уникальность

А вот тут достаточно интересно! Протокол позаимствовал все до чего смог дотянуться:

- Идея токенизации, как у Yearn и Notional c поддержкой ERC-4626, разделением актива на principal и yield части.
- Дисконтирование будущих доходов из классических облигаций и деривативов.
- AMM с Notional finance. Если ковырять глубже в код, там используется похожая формула постоянного произведения, проглядываются нотки Uniswap v2, адаптированные под свои задачи.
- veCRV как у Curve и других его последователей. Взвешенный по времени токен, который применяется в голосовании по распределению вознаграждения в пулах и не только.
- Обмен сообщениями между чейнами. Просто использован LayerZero. Напрямую, без какого либо заимствования кода.

При этом нужно отдать должное: предложен собственный стандарт токенизации ERC-5115: SY Token . Он значительно расширяет список доходных токенов, которые могут использоваться внутри протокола, по сравнению с ERC-4626.

TVL протокола на сегодняшний день приблизительно $8.8b, что позволяет в категории Yield на DefiLlama занимать уверенное первое место.

Для сравнения, ближайший преследователь — Convex Finance c TVL $1.145b. Чтобы примерно понимать порядок цифр: Uniswap - $4.769b, Raydium AMM - $1.751b, Compound Finance - $2.573b.
