Responsibilities

  • Statutory and management accounts: Revenues, Employment costs, Overheads, Commissions, Banks and treasury issues
  • Work with tax authorities – answers to demands connected with counter-check of customers/vendors, notifications on controlled business activities, comments regarding filling of tax returns, etc.
  • Currency control in Russia – understanding of the process, documentation, cooperation with bank
  • Month end / Half year / End year closing: assistance and support in creating reporting package, , accruals follow up, costs allocation, accuracy, interface with consolidation systems, month-end checklist filling
  • Payroll management (with the assistance of our external provider)
  • Tax and Fiscal management: coordinate Monthly, Quarterly and annual tax returns (supported by local tax advisors when needed). Understanding of Tax Pricing issues
  • Closely work to Sales, Commercial, Business Operation and Legal team to support the business and the revenues management
  • Support all aspects of the finance function within an expanding emerging market with an innovative and creative approach.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with banks, external and internal auditors
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and taxation issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance.
  • Certificate of professional accountant in Russia
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with an emphasis on accounting, preferably in a medium to large international company incl. working on a position of chief accountant/deputy chief accountant at least 5 years
  • Deep knowledge of Russian Accounting Standards and good knowledge of IFRS
  • Statutory compliance (legal/tax/social Russian requirements).
  • Experience in audit with Big4 audit firms is a must
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people in order to identify issues and opportunities – in-depth experience with Controlling concepts
  • Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and stress resistance.
  • Strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative (hands-on approach).
  • Fluent English is a must (verbal/written).
  • Comprehensive use of Excel, Word, ability to work in PowerPoint.
  • System set up experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications and HFM, CRM would be a plus.
  • Prior work experience within IT company is preferred, but not essential
