Myths About Affiliate Marketing

Even though affiliate marketing is a young market, it has already become overgrown with myths and misconceptions. Some say that all the talk about the opportunity to make big money in this business is nonsense and "marketing", others, that this is the only place to make money. We decided to familiarize you with some of the most common (and delusional) myths and dispel them right away.

Myth 1. Should have started in it about 5 years ago; too late now

No, it’s not. Nowadays, it is clear to everyone that Internet marketing and the the web in general are growing at a breakneck pace. Would anyone think just three years ago that a certain TikTok would blow up the digital space? Every day, new algorithms for influencing the audience as well as new platforms are released and advertising opportunities expand. Therefore, complaining about a missed opportunity is not the best solution. Follow the current trends and proceed!

Myth 2. It requires a lot of money to start

No way are we going to tout you with slogans like “throw in $100 and earn much more”. Yet, nonetheless, we should mention that with a competent approach and careful use of your budget, you may need $200 to $300 to start. Yes, you may run in the red and yes, these funds may not be sufficient. But you must admit that this is not the reason to give up an opportunity.

Myth 3. Come on, it’s so simple! The main thing is to understand where exactly to - and everything will run like clockwork

Have you ever heard this? Right, and so have we. We agree that general techniques and operating principles can be mastered fairly quickly. However, without constant improvement of offers, creatives, landing pages and bundles in general, you are doomed to waste your budget again and again. Remember, affiliate marketing is both creative and highly volatile business.

Myth 4. In affiliate marketing, one can make a lot of money without applying much effort

Nope, one can't:) Affiliate marketing is as mush a job as any other. Those who achieve good results spend on this activity most of their time, including weekends and holidays. And some of newcomers to this business may find it very boring. For example, each particular geo requires selecting its own creatives, headlines, ad text, etc. And now just think how many such geos there are out there. Always remember that you will have to work, and work hard.

Myth 5. Oh well, competition in this field is so great that all the money has already been appropriated

Yes, competition here is very high indeed. As much as in any other field, by the way. In each area that in one way or another deals with the Internet, there are lots of people who want to grab their piece of pie. And yet, we are sure: there is enough money in online business for everyone. Seek your own verticals, your own modus operandi - and take your place in the market.

Affiliate marketing is a business that, like any other business, has its own specifics. Yes, it requires hard work to continuously grow, scale and compete. But if you feel that you definitely should try yourself in it, then nothing should stop you.
