Meeting of the Russian Ambassador with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola

On October 17, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Angola V.N. Tararov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola T.Antonio met.

During the conversation, the parties discussed Angola's participation in the second Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for July 27-28, 2023 in St. Petersburg, as well as preparations for the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Angolan Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Trade.

Topical issues of the international agenda, cooperation within the UN framework, and prospects for the development of bilateral relations were also touched upon.

The diplomats reiterated the importance of the successful launch of the ANGOSAT-2 satellite for Angola's leading role in space and communications on the African continent and discussed prospects for further cooperation in the space industry.
