On June 12, on the occasion of Russia Day, a solemn reception was held at the Russian Embassy in Cairo.

The holiday was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research H.Abdelghaffar, as well as Minister of Supply and Internal Trade V. Moselkhi, state and public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps and compatriots.

The event was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The guests enjoyed the performance of a vocal and instrumental ensemble performing a medley of famous works by Russian composers, a video series about Russia and its history was shown on large-format screens.

During the event, the guests were addressed by the Russian Ambassador to Egypt, G.E. Borisenko, who noted in his speech that Russia is currently opposing those who want to return the world to the colonial past, rooting out the newly sprouted Nazism in Europe, while relying on its cooperation with the countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America, strengthening strategic partnership with Egypt.
