Festival of Russian Culture in the Republic of Zambia

On November 15, 2022, a concert of the State ensemble "Russia" named by L.Zykina was held in the central music hall of Lusaka as part of the Festival of Russian Culture in Africa. The concert was attended by a quartet led by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation O.Evstigneeva. Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts of the Republic of Zambia B.Mwasa and Russian Ambassador to Zambia A.Yarakhmedov inaugurated the festival.

Members of the Zambian government, leaders of various parties and social movements, heads of diplomatic missions, Russian compatriots and embassy staff attended the event. More than 500 spectators were present in the hall and warmly welcomed the performance of Russian artists.

The concert showed a great interest of the local public in Russian culture.
