Linguistic Conference in Hurghada

On October 26-27, the First Linguistic Conference "Language Learning: Theory and Practice" was held at the branch of the Southern Valley University (Hurghada). The university's management, teachers of language departments (including the Department of Russian, headed by Mohammed Nasr), graduate students and students took part in its work.

The event was opened by Rector Mahfuz Abdelsattar, who noted that since its foundation in 1995, the University branch has achieved great success in training young professionals, including for the tourism sector of the Red Sea province. He also announced plans to transform the branch into an independent classical educational institution with faculties of humanities, technical and natural sciences.

Speaking at the Conference, Consul General of Russia in Hurghada V.S. Voropaev thanked the University management for their attention to the Russian language, spoke in favor of establishing ties with educational institutions in Russia. Russian Russian House in Cairo, on behalf of the Consulate General and the Russian House in Cairo, V.S. Voropayev gave M. Abdelsattar a selection of educational and fiction literature in Russian.

The Conference was presented by teachers of the Russian Language Department of the University Ahmed Fayyad, E.A.Tarasyuk, A.A.Petrova, N.A.Tarasova.
