Lola Lonli paints pictures full of deep meaning, beauty and individuality. Each of them is the only and inimitable, having no copies and versions - a real museum piece.
All plots are unique, the artist takes them from her imagination, images that arise in her mind when reading books, listening to music, communicating with nature and people. She speaks directly - my task is to show the world what only I see. The technique of drawing and painting is unique, Lola learned everything on her own, without copying the masterpieces of the past and without following the approved methods. She can spend months creating the right texture, a new combination of colors, a unique technique. The interweaving of meanings, symbols, many references - in each picture - is a reflection of the myths, legends and cosmogony of the peoples of the world, which Lola has been studying all her life. It all started with Africa, the cradle of mankind and the custodian of many cultures.
“Africa has always inspired me, sometimes it seems to me that this is my past, sometimes that it is the future ...” - says Lola. “Each nation brings its culture, like a precious stone, into the necklace of the Earth. Knowledge of other cultures and respect for them enrich the inner world of a person. African creation myths often suggest that we are all children of the same god and grew up from the same roots. African rituals and life, which seem so unusual to us, have the deepest symbolic meaning, which everyone can find only by falling in love with the subject of research.
