On November 15, a symbolic ceremony of the transfer of Russian food aid to the Republic of Madagascar, delivered in cooperation with the UN World Food Program, took place at the Russian Embassy in Antananarivo.

To the port ofToamasina in the east of Madagascar, 80 tons of fortified sunflower oil were delivered as part of the implementation of plans for the organization of school meals.

Speaking to the audience, Russian Ambassador A.V. Andreev noted the strength of the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Madagascar, which this year turned 50 years old. He stressed that Russia will continue to be a reliable partner of the Republic of Madagascar in various fields.

The Malagasy side expressed gratitude to Russia for its regular assistance, and confirmed its firm commitment to further strengthening bilateral mutually beneficial ties.
