💒Orthodox Church in Africa: news from the Republic of Malawi.

Acting Chairman of the Department of Religious Education of the Exarchate Konstantin Gorditsa arrived in Malawi.

On November 7, in Ntembwe village of Kasungu district (Central Province), K. Gorditsa met with the dean of parishes in Malawi, Priest George Chabvera and Priest Timothy Chintenga, and later had a conversation with catechists.

Since the last visit to the country by representatives of the Exarchate, the number of ROC clergy in Malawi has increased. The clergy who have converted to the Russian Orthodox Church were given antimins, holy myrrh and Eucharistic sets.

On November 7-8, humanitarian aid was delivered to the parishes of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa in Malawi – in total, more than 500 families received seeds for sowing. Icons and Orthodox literature in English were also handed over to the faithful.

There is trouble with the seed material in many African countries. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to help people. Grain, seed, fertilizers. And we hope that the West will be honest in its promises on the "grain deal" and will allow Russia to help the African population.

As always, we thank the patrons and donors from the bottom of our hearts.
