The Economic Development Board, Mauritius (EDB) informs about the opportunity about Request For Information (RFI) proposal to build and Supply of Electricity through Barge Mounted LNG Power Plant for the Central Electrciity Board (CEB) of Mauritius.

In light of the foregoing, the CEB is therefore inviting potential developers to submit their proposals for the supply of power to the island of Mauritius through power barges operating on LNG technology and in accordance with the provisions elaborated above.
The purpose of this RFI is essentially to probe the market and gather maximum market information in order to effectively prepare a RFP for the purchase of firm power supplied by power barges. In this regard, interested project developers are encouraged to participate in this RFI exercise and submit comprehensive proposals for firm power so that the CEB becomes aware of the avenues which may be explored in the near future to obtain prompt and clean electricity from power barges.
The RFI, addressed to the Chairman Tender Committee, should be either deposited in the Tender Box located at the Tender Unit of the Central Electricity Board, Royal Road, Curepipe, Mauritius, or sent by Registered Post or Courier Service at the same address on/or before Wednesday 15 June 2022 up to 13.30 hours (Mauritian time) at latest.
