Participation of the Russian Ambassador to Mozambique in a nature conservation campaign

On the initiative of the local authorities of Maputo province, with the assistance of a number of international environmental organizations and the Embassy of the Congo, Russian Ambassador to Mozambique A.V. Surikov took part in a public action on the conservation of coastal vegetation on August 13.

Together with the students of the rural school of the village of Makaneta, a group of foreign ambassadors accredited in the country and representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Construction planted over three thousand saplings of trees that strengthen the coastal strip from erosion.

The action was widely covered by television, in regional and national media. A.V. Surikov gave interviews to a number of journalists on the issues of bilateral relations.
