About the meeting of the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia A.V. Yakovenko with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Russia Abdullahi I.Shehu

On June 21, 2022, member of the Board, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia A.V.Yakovenko received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Russia Abdullahi I.Shehu.

The parties discussed a wide range of international issues, as well as preparations for the second Russia–Africa summit.

Special attention was paid to the topic of food security. A.V.Yakovenko handed the Ambassador a copy of the report of the Russian National Coordinator for the implementation of the decisions of the UN Summit on Food Systems "The impact of Western sanctions on the global food crisis and the fertilizer market, published on June 16, 2022.

The Rector invited the Ambassador to speak to young diplomats and students of the Diplomatic Academy. Theinvitation was gratefully accepted.
