On September 8, the Russian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov with the Special Envoy of the President of Uganda for the Great Lakes Region, President of the African Global Security Fund A.Mbabazi, who is in Moscow on a working trip.

During the conversation, the main emphasis was placed on discussing ways to prevent the emergence of new hotbeds of tension and conflicts in Africa, normalizing the situation in the "hot spots" of the continent, in particular, prospects for settlement and stabilization of the situation in the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa.
