On August 19, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanovreceived the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Moscow, Mzuvukile Jeff Maketuka, at his request.
During the conversation, issues of further progressive development of Russian-African cooperation were discussed in the light of the results of the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to a number of countries of the continent in July this year.
At the same time, special attention was paid to the tasks of building a multifaceted partnership between Russia and South Africa, including deepening political dialogue and effective coordination of actions in the BRICS, the Group of Twenty, the UN and other international platforms.
