On June 27-29, Priest Georgy Maksimov visited Tanzania.
On June 28, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by a council of 14 priests of the Russian Orthodox Church from Russia, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, and the Republic of the Congo in the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tanzania Andrey Avetisyan, the head of the RCSC in Dar es Salaam Maria Pateeva, diplomatic staff, members of local Tanzanian parishes and our compatriots living in Dar es Salaam prayed at the service.
At the end of the Liturgy, the Ambassador addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
Priest George, in turn, thanked Andrey Levonovich and Maria Vladimirovna for the support provided to the clergy and the community of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa
On the evening of June 28, Russian Ambassador to Tanzania A.L. Avetisyan met with Priest George. We discussed the directions of the mission of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa of the Russian Orthodox Church in Tanzania, issues of spiritual care of compatriots. The meeting was attended by the head of the RCSC in Dar es Salaam, M.V. Pateeva.
