On the meeting between Russian Ambassador to Zambia and Minister of Education
On October 6, 2022, Russian Ambassador to Zambia A.Yarakhmedov held a meeting with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Zambia D. Syakalima. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of further intensification of bilateral cooperation in the field of education. D.Siakalima highly appreciated the assistance of Russia and Russian universities in training highly qualified specialists in various fields for the Republic of Zambia and noted that 139 Zambians went to study in the Russian Federation under government quotas and several dozen on a commercial basis in 2022.
Ambassador A.Yarakhmedov confirmed the readiness of the Russian side to expand bilateral cooperation, and spoke about the possibility of opening of branches of leading Russian institutes in Zambia or the formation of joint Russian-Zambian educational institutions.
