Introductory lesson

Welcome to the introductory lesson of our course.
Now I'm going to try to bust the myths that you need a strong computer with a powerful graphics card to generate images. If you were starting out in 2020, then yes, you would need to have Stable Diffusion installed. And to do that, you needed to have pretty advanced programming knowledge. Because everything had to be set up manually and you had to know what commands to write. And when it came to models, you had to teach them yourself and it was very difficult and time consuming. But now everything is completely different ! No matter what kind of computer you have, how old or new it is, you can create incredible images using the platforms I will talk about in the next lesson. And all this without having to set up your environment beforehand.

So, in this course you will need:

• Computer: Even if you don't have the newest model, don't worry. As programmers say, "the important thing is that it's better than a potato". So despite the possible limitations of your computer, you can still create stunning images no matter what.
• Browser: You don't need to install any additional software. All you will need is a regular web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. The tools you use are available to everyone and do not require any additional applications to be installed.
• Query writing skills: Unlike the previous points, it is the query writing skill that is the most important. This is what we will be pumping it up throughout the course. At the current stage, it is important to just be ready to create and explore. Don't worry if you are not yet familiar with query writing - we will make sure you master this skill.
