Working with camera angles

Welcome to the fifth practice lesson. In this lesson we will look at working with camera angles and how this can affect the final result.

Camera: purpose and impact on results

First of all, let's understand why we need to set the camera parameters. The parameter for the camera and its angle are used mainly to add cinematic realism to the image. In simple words, to create real camera effects.

Practice

Here are the camera angle settings that I personally use and can recommend to you:

  • top down view
  • side view
  • back view
  • close up
  • extreme close up
  • cowboy shot
  • mid shot
  • dutch angle shot
  • fisheye shot
  • bokeh
  • blurred background
  • selfie

For demonstration I will use this prompt (separately marked what was changed)

  • best quality, 4K wallpaper, masterpiece, extremely detailed CG unity 8k wallpaper, extremely detailed eyes, ultra-detailed, 1girl, solo, medium breasts, Ollie, zombie_skin, multicolored hair, multicolored eyes, twintail hair, earrings, style-bridal, outdoors, night, graveyard, (dutch angle shot:1.5 ), looking at viewer, smile, standing, crossed legs, upper body,

You can also work out the camera angle parameters yourself. To do this, use this link to a ready algorithm.

Results

Now let's analyze the results of working with the camera parameters. First of all, we should remember that not all the above parameters will be perceived correctly by the AI.

First of all, the most frequent variants. Namely, the general view camera "top down view", "side view", "back view".

However, the display may not be correct when using the "bottom up view" parameter. It all depends directly on the model used!

The parameters "close up", "extreme close up", "cowboy shot", "mid shot", "dutch angle shot", and "fisheye shot" also show excellent results. You will see the parameters from this list very often.

For those who do not know about photos, I will explain the meaning of some parameters:

  • "Cowboy shot" - hip to head
Cowboy shot
  • "Mid shot" - is used for the "middle distance"
Mid shot
  • "Dutch angle" - special slanted angle.

  • "Fisheye" - is an ultra-wide angle shot with very distinct circular distortion.

Results with display errors

As I said before the parameters for camera operation can be misunderstood by the AI.

Among them are the following:

  • "upside down" - It always behaves rather strangely. But at the same time, if you are lucky (as with the model that was used), the overall image is not too winged.
  • "head shot" - This parameter can be interpreted as a headshot, instead of a parameter of the form.
  • "body shot" - Can focus too much on the body by cropping the head.

To solve these problems and generally improve the handling of camera parameters, I suggest using the additional word "view". This parameter adds clarity for the AI and then the model understands more precisely what to do.

Homework

Your homework will be to try different parameters for the camera angle yourself. You can use this prompt for this purpose

  • best quality, 4K wallpaper, masterpiece, extremely detailed CG unity 8k wallpaper, extremely detailed eyes, ultra-detailed, 1girl, solo, medium breasts, Ollie, zombie_skin, multicolored hair, multicolored eyes, twintail hair, earrings, style-bridal, outdoors, night, graveyard, (dutch angle shot:1.5), looking at viewer, smile, standing, crossed legs, upper body,

Or you can go straight to the link and start generating.

You can also see examples of how to use prompts in my telegram group, where I share ready-made algorithms and image creation tweaks every day.

Download the results of your experiments and share them within the course. Remember that the main thing is your creativity and imagination! Good luck, and enjoy the process of creating unique images with artificial intelligence.
